Got my issue today too and it is even better than the last issue!
Only thing I was dissapointed with was the lack of a GP2X review/preview. (This was mentioned in the 'Next Issue' bit at the back of issue 19)!

Otherwise, excellent and I shall definitely be suscribing in the new year.

About a page and a half in to this thread I thought I was going to be in the minority but glad to see a few saying RPG and Strategy. From Nethack onwards, always loved RPGs and I still think Dune II is one of the best strategy games ever. Also loved Master of Magic, a £3 game by Mastertronic on the...

On the Amiga RPG front, Keef the Thief was fun but unusual, although maybe more adventure than RPG, Captive was pretty fantastic for a while, great graphics. Champions of Krynn was definitely up there with the best I think. Eye of the Beholder as well of course. But you just can't beat Dungeon Maste...

I was really dissapointed with Switchblade on the Amiga, it was popular for it's 'anime' style graphics but was awkward to play and a bit dull, ditto Rick Dangerous (not the anime though obviously!) Agree about Microprose Soccer but loved Sensible Soccer. Never saw the appeal of Kick Off, too hard a...

I would also like to put in a good word for PSI Trading and Law of the West! I had them as a triple-pack with Hardball, I loved them as much for the simplistic but tuneful music by Ed Bogas as much as for the gameplay, particularly PSI-Trading, loved the various aliens and the way each section of th...

Hi, it's great to see Retro Gamer back where it belongs, hope it stays there! although I would never admit it to any young whipper-snappers that might be prepared to listen on the subject and there are not many who are, most old games do not look too good by today's standards! This doesn't mean I do...

That's a shame about the CGE next year...Heres hoping it makes a comeback! On the retro subject, theres is an excellent 'tribute' to Elite (my favourite game of all time) called OOlite. It's only available on Mac and Linux so far but Windows version is coming. Check it out, it looks great! (Sorry fo...

Well done all on keeping the flag flying!! The sun went behind the clouds on the day old Retro Gamer died, the day the new Retro Gamer came through my letterbox, Summer came again! I like the new issue and if it had just been full of knitting patterns in the shape of Spectrums I would have been happ...
