I bought Silent Running and Dark Star from Ebay last night. So I'll probably get Logans Run too, mind you, it seems to be on the Telly every six months! Never get bored of it though. Incidentally, I've just had a moan at two of my work colleagues, they are both about 25 and love Sci-Fi films but hav...

Oh, and 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers', the version with Jeff Goldblum and Donald Sutherland, really creepy!

I still love 'Logans Run' although this was made in 1976 so only just before Star Wars.

A quirky, slightly dark film I feel made all the better for the lovely Jenny Agutter!

I have to agree about Freescape II. It just 'felt' right!

Also loved Privateer II, a bit like Wing Commander but with a proper story and a bit more freedom.

If it counts, not quite the same but I still enjoy Star Control I and II, multi-player space combat of a different sort of course.

:)

Sorry to seem incredibly old fashioned and 'retro' but I actually bought some PC games this week! (any one remember PC's? I'll post a couple of pics if you like) Dungeon Seige II and Total Rome Collection. It's a good time to buy PC games as they get knocked down in price quicker than a Hyund...

My four year old beats me at Wii Tennis every time!

Well actually, he's closer to four and a half so I guess its not quite so unbelievable.

(Not really a kids game though, oops)

Has no one mentioned Bubble Bobble yet?

Annoyingly catchy tune!

Not very retro, but also enjoying the tunes in Cave Story on my GP2X at the moment!

Definitely Kikstart II! Great value with the editor built-in! Master of Magic, another vote for that too. Park Patrol on C64, not originally budget I know but not so well-known over here until released on budget I think. Spore on C64, great little shoot-em up. I think Sidewinder on the Amiga has als...

Worst ever movie? Hudson Hawk You may be right about this but I have to say, after looking forward to it for ages, Shrek 3 was one of the most dissapointing films I have ever seen!! I realise it's not old of course! Agree with Sir Clive too, loved Tron! Quite fond of Logans Run also, seen that lots...

I think I said British Isles in the first place... Incidentally, I just checked the main UK sports pages online and my point has been proven. Lead story on all sports pages is England's game. I checked BBC, ITV, Sky and Yahoo news. Some of them even mention a Spurs story before moving onto the othe...

Must admit i've always supported the home nations before, Scotland in Euro 96 i wanted them to win (obviously not the England game) and same for Ireland in World Cup 94. Yeah its not obviously the same, people dont suddenly fly Irish flags from their windows etc but footballing fans i would say get...

Don't judge us by our media! I am ashamed to be English whenever I pick up a newspaper. I agree with you there SirClive! Although I don't really like hearing Scottish footy fans slagging off the English team I have to sympathise with them! Our newspapers expect us to win the World Cup, Wimbledon, t...
