Re: RIP <Insert celebrity>

I dont normally bother with this thread but yeah sad to hear about Adam West. Spent a lot of time as a kid watching those old classics, corny and cheesy as hell but to a kid i didnt see that, just found them exciting as anything. As they say he had a great innings but sad news Its quite scary when ...

Re: James Bond Games

Goldeneye Reloaded was brilliant online, really had a lot of fun with that one, and I don't usually game online. I still like Agent Under Fire, maybe it's nostalgia because it was my first PS2 game (along with GTA III). You'll still never beat Goldeneye 64 though, I don't care what anyone says, I st...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Is it a bit early, or are Nintendo making the exact same mistake as the Wii U?

For what it's worth, I love my Wii U.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Would love it if it gets Star Wars Battlefront II, not very often I'm pumped for newer releases, but this is right up my street, purely for the promising single player mode.

Any other retro compilations for the Xbox One?

--Edit

Aside from Megaman Legacy Collection, I've had my eye on that one also.

Re: Atari Flashback Classics Collections XB1/PS4

I was going to buy them at Argos last week as they were £14.99. Kept renewing the reservation only to find they have put them back up to £25 each. Sod that! £15.99 at Base.com, not sure what their services is like, but I know it's been despatched this morning. Agreed, these could easily have been p...

Re: Hate turns to love for LoZ: Skyward Sword

Aside from those CD-I games, I think this is the only Zelda game I've not played, heard a lot of negative things about it.

Might give it a go though, after reading this.

Atari Flashback Classics Collections XB1/PS4

Sorry if this has already been posted, had a search and could not find anything. I just spotted these two collections on Amazon, after having a browse of the XBox One titles: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Atari-Flashback-Classics-Collection-Vol-1/dp/B01N5WCA1R/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493760933&sr=8-2&key...

So does anyone here hook up retro systems to modern TV's?

I really want to get back into retro gaming, but all my TV's are modern, and on the wall :(

Is there some sort of HDMI converter you guys would recommend, or is that not possible?

Thanks all.

Re: Could Nintendo learn from MS for wrapping retro content?

I would have loved to have seen a Super Mario All Stars 2 for Snes, including:

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2

(Both the Mario Land games being updated, just like the Nes titles in the first All Stars game).
