Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Talking of bargains, I just bought 30 PS1 games (only 2 being disk only) and 3 N64 carts for the staggering amount of £17.50 including Medieval 2, Heart of Darkness and Road Rash.

Re: Games you have loose that you need boxes and manuals for

I'm a firm believer that life's too short to be spent hunting down thirty year old cardboard boxes that, even if looked after, are bound to be a bit faded and fragile. If you must have a sleeve for your old NES games, why not just print your own and make a reproduction? See here for a guide: http:/...

Re: Train games

Played Southern Belle on the Spectrum and I can't remember it being anything to tell friends about.

Own A6 and Xtreme Xpress but sitting in the collection.

Re: selling up

Thanks for the explanation.

It has such an odd name and I hadn't heard of it before and didn't think it was an old console like the unusally name Colecovision which I learned of a few montha ago.

As I am new to the forum, I have no idea what an AUP even means before you start trolling me with your wannabe funny guy/wannabe moderator comment of 'thread necro crusade'. Would you rather I open up billions of threads and spam the community like everyone else just because there is no structure i...

Re: Instruction manuals...

Its fine, don't worry about it. AUP is standard terminology for 'Acceptable Use Policy'. Pretty much every forum and website has them tucked away somewhere. As for necro bumping dead threads, given this is a retro forum, I'd say it's entirely appropriate, particularly with your user name. Thanks fo...

Re: Games Master's Top 100 Games Ever! *Updated w/ The Write

Another poor Games Master list from back in the day with PS Wrestlemania ahead of Sonic for the MD....and spookily in those 10 years, Zelda Link to the Past stayed at No 24.

I would say that that list is better than the 90s list though.

Re: Enemies you hate in games

That ridiculously toughest Omega Weapon in FF8 and also those stupid Dark Aeons in FFX which takes you to find ridiculously hidden items and stupid tasks just to get the weapons to beat them. Maleficient in Kingdom of Hearts has a horrible laugh and also there is a ridiculously hard hidden boss at t...

Re: Games that have made you cry

Never cried to a game. Felt emotional too a few but no tears.

Biggest emotion I had is when I #### my pants big time at the first time at Resident Evil 2 where the cut scene has the tongued creature on the ceiling and it jumped down when the cut scene ended.

Re: What's the highest you will pay for retro games?

I paid £27 each for Turtles In Time and Castlevania 4 on the SNES last year, I have all the games I want now. Wow you got a bargain with both. Or was that just the cartridges? :D Still searching for Turtles but Castlevania I am just missing the manual and spent around 30ish so far. Most I have spen...

Re: Underated Games

Never heard much cheer for Illusion of Time on the Snes. For its time it had some nice features and story in an addictive little rpg. It got pretty good reviews at the time, and I liked how it included real world landmarks in a fantasy setting. Seems more forgotten than overlooked Ok, that's a fair...
