Re: From The Forum issue 150 - Best Birthday Presents

My 14th B'day, I got Sheep in Space, Jet Set Willy and Tales of the Arabian Nights for my C64. Tales was my first game that had speech, I got special permission to put the computer in the lounge so I could play it on the 'Big Telly' (anyone else do that?) and got everyone crowded round so they could...

Re: Looking back at the Original Xbox

Soft modded mine yesterday, loaded C64, megadrive and Snes emulators. As others have stated above, picture quality is questionable, may be due to the fact I have my outputs going thru a multi-scart box (got my ps2 and a dvd player going into the same LCD TV). Will have to try it plugged directly int...

Re: From The Forum issue 149 - Controversies

Wasn't there one about benchmarking software on PC that was skewed to favour one specific make/brand of GFX card?

Memory is a little hazy but seem to recall it caused quite a stink.

Re: Discuss Time! 149

Varies for me,

If it is a specific game that i'm after, eg my copy of Doom 2 on PC, it had to be the 'Big Box' edition, with instructions etc in very good nick.

I have bought loose carts for my gameboy and that is good enough for me.

Re: Games that put a grin on your face

For me GTA III. Specifically the mission where you have to kill a member of the Triad gang. Drove to the location, rammed their vehicle and the driver got out and started to run. I gave chase and ran chased and chased and chased... I chased him into the river, where the Chinese guy promptly drowned ...

Re: Your Favourite Star Wars games

1. The Atari original of Star Wars (arcade). First one I played was at an airshow in Lincolnshire, blew me away! Then I found out there was a sit down version! absolutely brilliant!! So what it was wireframe, it was the speech that drew you in (well it did me anyway). Lost alot of 10ps in that one. ...

Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer!

Booked me and wife tickets for the 17th as well.

Never got to see the originals in the cinema (saw the special editions at the pictures, but it's not the same).

But wouldn't miss this for the world!!!

Have you ever thought 'How did I get here?' from writing adventure games for Arctic to the Broken Sword games?

Re: Why are there so many Amiga fans on this forum?

Remember my first Amiga like it was yesterday. Had a CBM64, an xmas pressie in 1983 (I was 13 at the time), this served me well until 1988, that is when I ordered from Silica Shop (remember them?) an A500, with Deluxe Video, Deluxe Music and it came with a pack of games... When I booted it up, could...

Re: From The Forum issue 148 - SNES memories

Buying one as a xmas pressie for my younger brother/sister. Got it home only to find that it didn't work, power came on but no picture but got sound. At this point in the story I must mention that I was in the RAF at the time and bought the SNES from Germany. I knew it worked as I had been hammering...
