Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

This is a great thread (which I know has been dormant for a while). I unfortunately don't have anything to post at the moment as I got rid of most of my collection (and anyways it was all in bags and piled up in a frankly rubbish way). If I do build a small newer collection will post. Saw Darran's s...

Re: Gaming elements that annoy you.

Bosses in the early stages of a game (before you've mastered the controls or build up your inventory) - a few games have stopped me cold after a few levels with a stupidly hard boss.

Re: My year of PS2

This is a pretty good concept, to focus on one platform (especially, if like many of us, you have a gaming pile of shame ever growing!). The PS2 has too much choice! Gran Turismo 4 alone could wipe out 6 months if you wanted it to. Two great Metal Gear Solid games are on it, 5 GTA games, and the la...

Re: My year of PS2

I think Bully is one I see the local Cash Converters from time to time - I didn't pick it up as it looked a bit sandbox, thought I know Rocktar do this well - sadly my limited gaming time means I'll probably stick to games with 7 or 8 hour campaigns/Levels I can finish.

I'd have definitely bought the book, but I'm not a kickstarter person. If it surfaces though, I'd be in for a copy,

My only Megaman experience came on an iphone (I think) - it was mentally hard on touch screen and put me off.

Re: My year of PS2

Ooh. I've been playing Ps2 lately as well. This is what I've been playing the past couple of weeks. Jak & Daxter is a fun platformer Rez is an amazing on-rails shooter with the best level of any videogame Gradius V is one of the best horizontal shooters of all time Guitaro Man is a fantastic rhythm...

Re: Retro Games Shops, Arcades/Barcades, Gaming Museums/Exhibits & Retro Gaming Events Listing

Addition to ones you listed below for Croydon, there also Game On which is halfway between these other two. They do more ps2 and xbox, with some retro and a lot of CB carts - it's in surrey street - worth a look "Croydon: Heart of Gaming Details: Arcade - £10 entry to play as many arcade games set t...

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours

i Thought Capaldi finally clicked once they paired him with Bill - so a shame that ended after one series. I think New Who does need an overhaul as it's gotten a bit stale overall. Don't know anything about Whittaker - so it will be my introduction to her. Chris Chibnall as new boss isn't filling me...

My year of PS2

wanting to switch up what I usually play as retro, my xbox is now in the loft and I'm spending this year most playing PS2 game (as I didn't play any back in the day). I realise there's a lot of crossover with Xbox titles of the time, so I'm going to be playing oddities and exclusives (cheap ones!). ...

We're working on some new bookazines for 2018, in addition to revised editions of existing books, but they're a little way off right now. That's all I can share at present but we'll let you know when more information is available.

thanks Nick

Re: The PSP collecting thread

Is PSP now old enough to qualify as retro? Think I got mine in 2006??

Would love to read a few bits in the mag. Especially the more offbeat games I've probably not heard of.

Re: From THe Forum 178: Share your Pac-Man anecdotes with us

I really didn't get Pac Man a little kid. The object of it seemed odd. I just liked shooting aliens too much.
