Rev. Stuart Campbell - which image would you say best shows off Spy Hunter? I'd argue that the images in #2/3 are much better (especially the greenery) than #1, despite the first image being the highest res. 1 and 5 for me every time. Obviously it's down to personal taste, but the best example I've...

Highest res does not equal better pictures. It's the opposite with most retro games imo.

Check the images at this link to see how a pixelated game is softened beutifully by different TVs / monitors: http://mirrors.arcadecontrols.com/OscarControls/monitors.shtml It might not be practical to take shots from TVs / arcade monitors, but the results can be a world apart from emu shots. Rev. S...

as of issue 42 there will be a back to the 80s and a back to the 90s. sorry for those who find this part of the mag uninteresting, but there's a lot of readers out there who love it. I'm really happy to hear this :D For what it's worth, I think the people that compain about the 80's section are lik...

Love the mag, but I've started to drift past the 'back to the 80s' section... It's well written, but just doesn't speak to me as a 30 year old who's most obsessive gaming / living was done during the 90s. I'd love to re-read / remember the hype around the games and consoles rumoured and released thr...

As soon asa my copy of Twinkle Star Sprites turns up and my collection is complete, they'll be a feature on every Dreamcast shooter. This is great news. Can't wait to check that one out. The best DC shooter, and best shooter of all IMO is Under Defeat. Simply stunning mechanics, graphics and audio....

Is there a quick way to kill the 1-4 boss? This is the biggest pain for me on this game, sometimes taking all my lives. Usually I defeat it with very little time left or the time runs out completely so I don't receive a bonus. :( This guy does it without moving  not tried it myself - but loo...

I rate this as the best shoot em up on the DC. Audio and visually, it's fantastic. It's precisely my cup of tea gameplay-wise too. My hint for 1-5 boss is to watch the demo run through and copy their techniques. Keep rocket option too - it's the best way to finish the big guns and the final form. I ...

I trust your letters to the publisher on the matter are already sent, as suggested. Not many people write letters these days. http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/how_to_complain/complaints_form ...you can ast the ASA to take a look (takes 20 seconds). Let us know if you get an response SirClive. It would be ...

I don't think there's anything left to discuss tbh SirClive. It's clear that the magazine forum isn't a route to getting the ads changed. So here's the address: Imagine Publishing Ltd Richmond House 33 Richmond Hill Bournemouth Dorset BH2 6EZ Telephone: +44 (0)1202 586200 Or you have a right to comp...

Obviously it's up to Darran and you guys, CraigGrannell, but if I were involved in the mag I'd certainly ask that the ads never reach this month's low again. This month is too much, and I'd hate to see it get worse. Seriously, it reflects badly on the mag's content and readership. (IMO) Dudley - you...

The page before the ads got me thinking back to when I was 13 and I first played Final Fight on the Super Famicom (the 'next month' piece). I then started thinking about how my dad loved to play Galaxians and I'd stand by the cab watching in awe at the age of 8 (the picture of the binder brought thi...

A great issue. I really love it. And the fact that you're going to talk about the creation of Final Fight + Campbell's doing a number on Wonderboy next issue... well.... things are just getting better and better!!! How did you manage to get Capcom to talk about Final Fight???? Please let this mean m...

I'm not prudish, the reason for these strange reactions is clear... If you turn to these ads after reading about a man who vomitted up his own spleen in 'Bizarre / Nuts / FHM / Viz etc etc', you're not going to notice them. If you turn to them after getting nostalgic about your innocent childhood, a...
