I'm a regular reader that went casual not long after the switch over to Imagine The first year during the Live era I was religiously picking up the mag every month and was entranced by the articles, the last few issues of that era were a tad dissapointing, I guess that might of been due to the lack ...

I'ld say At the moment the PS1, N64 and Saturn era is now Retro as that was about 10 years ago now. Gamecube, PS2 and XBox get to be retro when the current lot get into good old age IMO. I mean because by that point you have another generation who doesnt remember the previous generation and those wh...

Mario Galaxy and Sonic and Mario for me.

Considering the way people are talking about Galaxy so far it's gonna be quite the experience.

I always found the Dairy Milk Bubbilly a bit of a lousy bar in comparison to Wispa. Too much like Areo (not that Areo was bad, just nothing to set the two apart IMO). Good it's back though

Bubsy 3D for the Playstation I borrowed this one for curiositys sake while I was looking after a friends house (didnt have a Playstation at the time, I was a Sega fan and owned a Saturn at home). Bubsy 3D is the only game I ever played to give me a headache with it's clashing colours and fustrating...

Picked this up yesterday cuz I was feeling a tad guilty for having skipped the past few issues of Retro (being a student, money dont come easy : <) I'm glad some of the articles got polished up a bit. They look a lot better than they did originally. Though I have a few qualms *The Mega Tree article ...

Re:

How did Sega fail with such good advertising? You don't see the same quality or imagination nowadays By NOT having good advertising. Thats why SEGA failed Up till the Saturn they had good advertisng. Then because of internal issues at SEGA things started going pear shaped. The Saturn was developed ...

James Pond: Robocod was best because it was just mad. I think I just loved the crazy product placement plus all the weird characters. It was never a game I loved as much as I loved Sonic, but still good. Jazzrabbits hardly that much a Sonic Clone. does require a little more thought plus you got to s...

I think if I had to vote best game ever I'ld say Sonic 3 and Knuckles for the Mega Drive. When you joined Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles you got this one HUGE game. I know this was possibly a case of rushing a game out in two parts ultimately but it was something that did work. Sonic 3 itself never ...

I have to say I consider Playstation 2 the worst console. For one thing it pretty much indirectly caused death of the Dreamcast. Though I wont argue that the DC's death was also caused by SEGA due to poor marketing and loss of comsumer confidence too. Partally it's because with the PS2 Sonys been ve...

Sadly Gizmondo is a console that just isnt really ever gonna sell well, tis too pricy for a start and the fact theres like, ONE store in the whole of the UK you can get games from and so on doesnt help. I'ld love to see more retro deve...

Re:

That's right ... I wrote a bunch down and THAT definitely didn't work out well. :) The problem you have is that America Free Retro gives the same impression as "Fat Free Crisps", i.e - Retro without america. Which is silly because without America we wouldn't have EA Sports. Wait a sec, there's some...

Check how much new or original content is in them before you buy. I bough both last year and wasn't disappointed, but if you read every issue over the year, you may not need the anthology. There are a few new articles in the anthology that make it worth a read, plus extensions of some of the older ...

Once again - Can you buy the Beef Monster Munch in a ten pack? No I dont think so, I think it's only Pickled Onion that comes in multipacks on it's own right now. Roast beef only comes in the multipack with the other 2 I have a small memory of Smiths moster much and remember them being HUGE. Though...
