Back in the '80s the really major new game releases had big exclusives in the gaming magazines but now the really big major releases have special edition packages containing all sorts like cloth patches, making of DVDs, art work books, post cards, stickers, poster, celebrity studded launch parties a...

Re: Phones 4 U Goes into Administration

The website's down and all it's got on it now is a list of phone numbers but I don't see anybody wanting a refund getting one now. Having faced potential redundancy myself, my heart goes out to those innocent branch managers who had to tell their staff that they'd be out of a job while the top bosse...

Re: Do any of you still watch Retro Cartoons?

Heres one for you, granted its not a 'cartoon' but it was a kids show from the 80s I remember it used puppets (Eg a bit like Terrahawks) but it was i'm sure japanese as i think as it was dubbed quite badly in english. There was a lot of action, lots of space ships etc but despite being set in space...

The PSP didn't deserve it's demise. It was a good bit of gear that was just neglected.

If I feel really rebellious, it's Carlsberg Special Brew for me   . But Stella Artois doesn't really deserve it's bad reputation. I've had it a few times before and I have NEVER turned surly, aggressive or violent either.

Re: Casio VL1 or similar keyboards

I know digital keyboard technology now is a lot more advanced than it was in the '80s but you might be able to get one from Ebay (how much were they originally?) or if you want more variety and effects pick a USB M-audio Keystation 32 Mini keyboard (I had to download the free music software for mine...

Oi, Parliament!! Where's OUR Indepedencey referendum?

The Scots have had their indepence referendum so why aren't the scumbags in Parliament giving us a referendum on total withdraw from the EU or not?
No doubt if the referendum results in a pull out for Britain our politicians'll hold negotiations to ensure that we don't have total independence.

Re: Phones 4 U Goes into Administration

Yeah and regretted it. The Samsung Chat 337 looks tasty on the youtube videos and in the reviews but it's total ' fluffy bunnies ' for mobile internet as you can't use the internet on it unless you're in range of your network's router and try download games and apps for the bloody thing. Went back t...

Now it's all about sex, guns, drugs and gangs.
Roxanne chante (now a psychologist) was good. The Fat Boys were novelty, Run DMC were against guns and gangs.

Ah, yes. Art Studio The 8-bit precursor to PHOTOSHOP. It's alright professional digital artists fawning over PHOTOSHOP but at four hundred plus quid plus the monthly cloud storage account it's way beyond most low paid workers' pockets. Me? I'm a fan of Paintshop Pro and the Xara Photo and Graphic De...

Casio VL1 or similar keyboards

Did anybody have a Casio VL1 or similar keyboard in the early 80s? Yes, I know they're primitive now but the German band Trio used one in the song Da Da Da and another good use of digital music is the haunting O, Superman by Laurie Anderson. Anybody still using a Casio VL1 today might get laughed at...
