Re: Mini Sega Megadrive anyone?!

But for the people its aimed at (casual gamers) they probably wont pick up on bad emulation/bad sound. To them its a great throwback to their youth with some of their favourites This makes it even more important to put the very best games on it. You want them to play games that have aged well and a...

Re: Mini Sega Megadrive anyone?!

These projects are only as good as the curation of the games content. The At Games machines have far too much rubbish on them. The later models are adding loads of shovelware titles that have nothing to do with the Megadrive - let's hope this new project doesn't go down that route. There are more th...

Re: Bubble Bobble - The Perfect Game?

I like Bubble Bobble (always been rubbish at it though) but my favourite game of this type is Snow Bros. which I really love. In terms of quitessential video-gameness I'd go for Ms Pac-Man (a bit more variety than the original and doesn't have the bug). Okay, you can't play it cooperatively (unless ...

I've gone for Snow Bros. but I do think they made some excellent shmups.

Re: What games would you like to see remastered?

I'd like to see remakes of Hidden and Dangerous and Conflict: Desert Storm 1 & 2.
I really enjoyed these squad command/third person shooters - it's a genre that seems to have died off.

Re: Atari VCS

I'd be interested in new games or even updates of old ideas. I can't say there are many old Atari games I'm dying to play though (I really like the 2600 version of Missile Command but I have that on the Flashback collection). It's a shame these retro machines never include a light-gun - I'd be inter...

Re: Most wanted unreleased games?

Rogue Leaders for Wii was completed and never released:

Also, Star Wars: 1313 was looking pretty interesting before it was canned.

Re: Movies that never got games

There haven't been enough games based on martial arts films - probably because the films aren't high-budget enough to grab the attention of developers? Enter the Dragon would make a fantastic game (not necessarily as a 1 on 1 fighter either). It even has made to measure 'bosses'. I'd also like to se...

Re: Yet Another Mega Drive Collection

Alex Kidd and Altered Beast are both pretty cack too. Sonic 3 and S+K would have been much better choices.
Of course to get a true picture of what was happening on the MD back in the 90s they'd need some Micro Machines games and some of the classic sports titles.

Re: Yet Another Mega Drive Collection

Off the top of my head, some games they should have included for which licencing should present no problem: The Ooze Super Fantasy Zone Super Hang On Eternal Champions Any of these would be preferable to third rate filler like Super Thunderblade or Galaxy Force - these are games which just don't sta...

Re: Yet Another Mega Drive Collection

There are some excellent games on this collection but they've mostly been released multiple times already (and I have the vast majority as original carts anyway). It's disappointing that there aren't any shmups on the collection - there were some really excellent ones on the MD. Licencing problems I...

Re: Change one thing?

Whatever it would take to give the N64 decent textures. Goodness, they were absolutely dreadful, and really let some games down imo N64 textures dreadful? I guess you must be a fan of the horrible wobbly and pixely PlayStation textures then... Yes, yes I am. A huge fan of the wobbly pixelate...

Re: Infamous- PS3

It's quite interesting looking back on this thread and seeing the hype machine working its magic on what was actually a rather censored game. I think I got this on PSN for free when Sony screwed up and their network went down for a bit and offered games as compensation. Yet to touch it in all...
