Re: The Most Difficult Console games Of All Time

Empire Strikes Back on the SNES... that game is so bleeping hard. Think I must have seen about 10% of it (I am awful at nearly all games though).

Re: Retro Gamer 168

What a great issue.
So much good stuff... best issue for years.

My only grip is (I know I've moaned about this a lot) is the Star Wars article is quite hard to read. White text on black background is fine. But then there is a white starfield behind the text. Small moan. Otherwise fantastic.

Hotmail.

Don't know if anyone else has it done to their account but this Focused/Other seperate inboxes are damn annoying. Why the hell would anyone want two inboxes? One is bad enough.
Agree 100%. Hated it. You can turn it off in settings... which I'm sure most sane people will do.

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours

Yes David Tennant, that's right. How time flies. Not sure why I thought it was Matt Smith, I think I confused it with another River Song episode (possible the one with the Weeping Angels now I think of it).

Age has done awful things to my memory.

Re: Doctor Who Community Buzzing With Rumours

I thought it was ok. Although as you mention the scary spacesuits we've seen before. Was it in the one set in a big library with Matt Smith.

Still really liking this series... so much better than the previous one.

Battle Zone. The first game I remember feeling like you were moving about a real 3D world. Hiding behind cubes, and sneaking up on enemy tanks. Great stuff.

Head Over Heels
Never got on with it. Many seem to think it's a better game than Knight Lore, but I can't see it.

Re: console battle QUARTER FINAL R1 ATARI 2600 VS MASTER SYSTEM

Are there any half playable 2600 games that are genuinely worth playing today, that aren't gimped arcade ports, or superior available ports on other systems? The Empire Strikes Back, if you're in a forgiving mood and you're a really big fan of Minter's Attack Of The Mutant Camels. Apart from that i...

Re: Retro Gamer 167

I loved Retro Shamer! I don't think we should mythologise games from the past. Some games used the limited resource hardware of the time and were masterpieces. Some games used the limited resources of the time and were garbage. True there are some Marmite games, but there are some that not even the ...

Right, so what you are really saying is that you were just full of censored. Gotcha.
Eh? I thought this was a fun poll. Why the insults?
