Re: Zoids Model Kits

I had just the one as a kid, a tall thin grey one, loved building it and always wanted to collect more, but with already collecting Transformers, Visionaries, Ring Raiders and Real Ghostbusters "Santa" wasn't having it! I do have a few issues of the Spiderman and Zoids comic, the issues which had in...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Mobile phones on trains. Mainly two types of people: 1) Those who are in the middle of a full-on text conversation, have the phone sitting on the table in front of them or holding it in their hand as they're expecting every response, yet the tone is still on full blast! The other person responds eve...

Re: GameCube RGB

Well my cable arrived today and the picture quality is gorgeous! Thanks guys, you saved me a small fortune!! Can't believe how good the picture is, exactly the same as the official one and it was less that £6!

Re: What Comics did you read as a kid?

I got a sticker of Oink on one of my boxes some green thing saying "love me love my liver" What is that thing actually called and does your site have any scanned strips of it? Yes that's Burp the Smelly Alien from Outer Space by Jeremy Banx. His internal organs often came out to do things independe...

Re: GameCube RGB

Was it not the case that when the cube came out originally that the only scart that would give RGB truely was the official one? A retailer I knew seemed to think the cube recognised if it was an official cable or not and that third party cables at the time would never give you RGB. I think your ret...

Re: GameCube RGB

I have one of those £5.90 RGB cables, and it works very well indeed on my CRT. It is outputting RGB, not composite, which looks pretty ropey in comparison, especially on a large LCD or Plasma. I think you may just be convincing me here! If it does indeed output the same good quality RGB as the offi...

Re: GameCube RGB

Thanks nokgod for clearing that up :)

As for component I'm using an old CRT TV so will be using RGB to get the best picture from the Cube. I did try a Wii on a HDTV with the right cables but it still didn't look as crisp as RGB on the CRT. But I'll look into you recommendation on that £5.90 cable!

Re: GameCube RGB

£5.90 is a great price but this also has the additional AV output that Liamh1982 said can sometime take away from the crispness of the image. So still not sure... though I now know to stay away from the Gamester one! The official one was a great cable but it's selling for about £60!!

GameCube RGB

Hey everyone, I'm currently on the lookout for a RGB cable for the Cube. I'm using an old TV, the same one I uses to use back at the time of the console, and the RGB made a huge difference! However the official Nintendo ones are going for quite a pretty penny on eBay. There seem to be a lot of cheap...

Re: marvel uk

I'm always seeing those Transformers comics in my favourite comic-buying place, maybe I should give them a go one day? Got the full run of Marvel UK's Real Ghostbusters (and all the annuals), so there's bound to be some enjoyment to be found there. Was planning on doing another entry on my own comi...

Re: marvel uk

Separating the years with annuals, good idea, never thought of that... Is that Oink! Blog yours? If so, congratulations, it's terrific :D Yeah, even though the annuals came out in the summer, let's face it we all got them on Christmas Day! So each annual is placed in the running order right after e...
