Re: What Comics did you read as a kid?

Ah yes of course! I'm so used to Frank Sidebottom now I didn't even consider that a mask    But yes, you're right. This is the "real" him in a spoof comic strip with BBC 6Music's Marc Riley and below that one of the pages he did. I've noticed I haven't actually included any of his com...

Re: Zoids Model Kits

Yeah but those are movies of their own stuff, Zoids was licenced so can't see them doing a movie. Thank goodness I say, not a big fan of their movies to be honest. But a Zoids film would be brilliant, wouldn't it? :D The fun you're having with the annual reminds me of going through the whole of Marv...

Re: You have got to be kidding me

The EU never tells us what to do. Basically, the government signs us up to all these things and then points the finger at them whenever something vaguely unpopular pops up. It's not like we haven't opted out of practically everything that would improve our freedom of travel, employment rights, huma...

Re: Saved by the Bell - 25 years ago yesterday

Saved by the Bell first started being shown 25 years ago yesterday. I remember watching it back in the day and now I feel so old. Yeah I can remember watching it on Channel 4 in the mornings during summer holidays. I loved it, but it did start a horrible trend of teen sitcoms like Hang Time e...

Stuff like the skiers not knowing when to stop, shouldn't find it funny but it looks funny
For me personally that is a horrid, horrid thing to say!

Re: Gaming TV Shows

The BBC are also the ones behind the Wipe series of programmes too, including the video game one. Dominik Diamond of GamesMaster did a good show on the old Bravo TV channel to in recent memory. He'd always be my first choice after the former show!

Re: better on tv

If the movie is on at a time when I know it won't be edited I'll probably end up watching it, crappy ad breaks and all. Even though it's sitting on the shelf in a box. Jaws, Jaws 3 and the Bond movies. Every. Single. Time. Don't know why these specific ones, but there ya go. you must like the ads N...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Completely disagree about the Paralympics. What those athletes could do was staggering and would put many "able bodied" people to shame. Also, saying they shouldn't be on when porn and violence are what youngsters look up to is wrong on so many levels! These are the alternatives to those destructive...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Think thats OTT. Its not a dangerous prank at all, good to see people do this rather than 'neknominate' or crap like that. Its harmless fun, quite amusing, good to see people uploading videos of this rather than setting fire to a rabbit, downing a bottle of censored etc or happy slapping. Still peo...

Re: What Comics did you read as a kid?

I know either Zzap or Crash did a free comic and my friend gave me the Burp sti...

Re: DC Thomson comics

I got my first Beano at some stage in 1984 while at home sick from school. I used to remember people brining me comics a lot when I was sick in bed with Flu or a tummy bug. I still have a load of the old ones I collected back then, the ones on the news print style paper. I used to get the Dandy and...
