Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Thanks Liam, hope this works! Ok, so here is what I got this week delivered. Sega Saturn PAL, Two Controllers, 25 games (22 boxed). Just waiting on the Virtua Cop 1&2 with light gun and its done. Pic seems to work, although cutting out the right hand side games, but you can guess what they all are f...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

How are you all uploading pictures on here? I have a pic i want to share, firstly was told it was too big (2.5MB), so i reduced it to a low res 205KB, and it now states "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." Let me know what the best way to get pics up, and i'll show the shiny Saturn....

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Hurrah! My Sega Saturn has arrived along with basically all of its 25+ games. Just now waiting on Blue Sega light gun, virtua cop 1 and virtua cop 2 (although the latter i already have a copy of....so if anyone wants VC2??) Was thinking about taking a picture of it all, but not sure if anyone would ...

Re: Nintendo 64 Favourites/Collection

these are shi!te: cruis n usa They actually did a good job on Cruis'n given the differences in the final N64 hardware as the performance was a lot less than they were expecting, and it was finished for the machine's launch (though not released). Cruis n USA was/is awful, as is its sequel. Regardles...

Re: Being an older gamer

The stigma of playing games is surely dead now, with the fact that basically everyone plays games in one form or another. Console games are played by a huge percentage of adults, but in addition, with every man and their grandma owning some sort of tablet, or smart phone, and playing games on...who ...

I'll echo what many have already said...."Daytonaaaaaaaaa". That or the first level of Sonic The Hedgehog on the Megadrive.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Will shortly be playing online multiplayer Forza Motorsport 2 on Xbox 360 (3 and 4 are great games, but tyre wear is almost non-existent on it for some reason).

Might have a bash at Portal 2 a bit later on tonight on PS3.

The best game ever invented? A bold claim indeed. I would suggest it would struggle to make it into the best 5 racing games of this generation.

Re: Being an older gamer

34 is young.I'm roughly the same age (33 this year), and feel exactly the same as I did a decade ago, not just physically, but my passions and what I enjoy. One of those things is videogames, whether playing or collecting them. I'm proud to say I own all the major consoles of the last 3 generations ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Apologies for taking this all off-topic, but my angle was simply PSX vs Saturn FPS games. For playability alone, Duke, Exhumed and Quake rock the Saturn to the point of being a reason to own those over their PSX versions (Quake excepted). To even things up tho, Saturn Alien Trilogy was not as good ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

32-bit shooters: The clue's in the name :D My absolute apologies - you did stipulate that! Goldeneye is king of the 5th gen FPS then! Koopa is wrong about Goldeneye - I played it recently, and yes, its aged, but its still terrific and still remains the benchmark of that generation. I did offer Quak...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Saturn Exhumed is the king of 32-bit shooters. Wrong sir, wrong ..... YOU LOSE! Playstation Doom does a steaming log over every other available shooter. I don't mind Exhumed at all but it's waaaaaaaaaaay below the ultimate version of Doom available in the history of stuff What have you two been smo...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

It looks rough from the screenshots on the back of the box! But framerate has always been key for me. My TV isn't great for sound, but I've got Sennheiser wireless headset connected, so I will try it with those. Says something about 4 exclusive Saturn levels on there to. I am tempted to get Exhumed ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Hurrah! My first Sega Saturn game ever has been delivered to me! "Quake"! I do have the PC version somewhere, and I don't expect it to be anywhere near as good, but I think it will be fun enough and nice to have as a collection. I do have Quake 64 - but just the ROM for the Everdrive 64. I have a fe...
