Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Seriously, I get that Microsoft have known how to design a good controller for some time. The One and 360 controllers are truly top notch. However, the original Xbox 'Duke' controller wasn't. It's widely derided as one of the worst ever made even, so I'm not buying the ergonomics argument. The "Duk...

Re: What grinds your gears ?
Sydney had a 48C day earlier in the year. It wasn't pleasant. Still, at least most of our heatwaves are hot and dry ones because they come from the desert interior. Hot and humid weather starts to feel uncomfortable at much lower temperatures. Britain would literally melt and collapse if it had jus...

True, although there is hot weather and there is insufferably HOT weather.....i mean, people go to places like Canary Island...

Re: Coronavirus
Do we even know for certain that having coronavirus antibodies will provide that much protection? (of getting it again) A nurse friend of mine has had it twice. Now it could be the one infection that hadn't fully disappeared before being tested again but its recorded as twice. As have most of the o...

Your honour, I rest my case.Antiriad2097 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 5:25 pmHaving had time to mullet over, I can't agree, I love word play and innuendo. My carping on about it won't change your mind, but we're getting off topic, that's a whole different kettle of fish.

Re: Chip Shop Puns
Ugh, sorry, these are annoying! Although I don't particularly mind a chip shop having a fishy pun as a name, I find it hugely irritating when dad-humour like this crops up in normal conversation about anything else related to fish.....

Re: Coronavirus
I think many people are downplaying Covid19 in this country, as the (first wave) peak is over, and instead of a 1000+ folks dead a day, its now around a 100, and often into double digits (especially over weekends when reporting is lower, and the rolling daily average may indeed be lower). Meanwhile ...

Re: Coronavirus
If you really really must get away just have a Staycation, less risk of infection and atm weather wise not acctually that different to places like Spain etc. Yeah, but how is one now supposed to show off that they've been on their ESSENTIAL summer holidays abroad to their social media masses, witho...

Re: Coronavirus
People complaining about having to quarantine when coming home from Spain........ I suppose it would be inconvenient (and irritating) if you'd already booked (or already in Spain) and the rules then suddenly changed....but if you're prepared to go on holiday at almost the very moment a pandemics fi...

Carrion came out yesterday. I may actually not wait for a sale on this one. Watch the trailer if you've not already seen it, looks right up my alley. https://youtube.com/watch?v=CrrpI5wdUgc It does look good. I'll wait for a sale since my backlog is immense, but Ive made a mental note to pick it up...
