Re: terrible games that you like

I think they put it on there twice, first time just the normal release and again on the very last issue disc, a kind of best of Net Yaroze thing. Total Soccer is a great Sensi/Kick Off fusion and a great PS1 game, sadly I think the save game feature was disabled but still it was great, it would have...

Re: Sensible Soccer - consoles

Just picked up a copy of Championship Soccer 94 for the Snes here in America, just cost a couple of dollars so I thought why not?? Turns out that under that tedious generic title lurks Sensible Soccer! I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is as I thought it was not generally held in high regard...

Re: terrible games that you like

Didn't the Total Soccer series start out as a Net Yaroze disc giveaway with the official PS1 mag ? That was a tremendously enjoyable little bonus!

Re: How about a Commodore 16 feature?

I certainly am, since I bought mine I have found it to be a great retro experience, tape loading is more reliable than any other 8bit machine I have ever used, the games are dirt cheap and in plentiful supply and many are of the pick up and play variety, it is fair to say that it fascinates me to se...

Re: Charity Shops

I really enjoyed 007 Legends, admittedly it's not the greatest fps that ever was, it's not even the best modern era Bond game either but it is fun and it is enjoyable to play thru the different Bond films. As a big Bond fan I enjoyed it, my only beef is the long load times between losing lives (at l...

Re: How about a Commodore 16 feature?

It's interesting to note how popular the C16 is, I knew more C16 owners than Amstrad back in the 80's. It would be nice to see it getting more coverage in RG.

Re: Charity Shops

Totally agree. Even nicer to see some shops not ripping people off just because games are "old".

Re: Batty and Ultimate connection

An amazing game and even more amazing that it was a covermount. It would be like strapping a triple a title to a magazine nowadays! The "covertape wars" between the magazines resulted in some high quality software making the covermounts - and also some original creations that might not have seen th...

Re: How about a Commodore 16 feature?

I would love to see sales figures for the 264 range. I don't think as many people had C16/plus 4 machine's as Cpc's but I do think they must have sold enough to warrant a little more coverage in the magazine.

Currently holidaying in the States and have picked up a Retron console and some Nes and Snes carts to play on it.

Re: terrible games that you like

They are indeed fine games and well worthy of their high marks, as a fan of Wonderboy in the arcades though I always felt that the C64 version was a good conversion of the game when I played it at my mates house, in fairness to Zzap I did see their review a little later (early 90's) as a back issue,...
