Re: forum issues

It's been relatively good today, but I too had issues over the weekend. Needless to say we're aware of the issues and are just as frustrated as you guys - it's difficult to post blogs when the site is down, after all. The tech guys are looking into fixes at the moment.

From the forum issue 127 - Favourite arcade games

Hi guys, a broad one here - for issue 127's letters page, we want to know what your favourite arcade games are. Any era, any genre - if it's coin-op, it's fair game.

Re: Top 25 Saturn Games

I do love my Saturn, but haven't explored the import scene nearly as thoroughly as I did with the Dreamcast, which limits my choices somewhat. Let's have these: 1/ Fighters Megamix As broken as you'd expect of a game which combines two different approaches to 3D fighting, but it looked great, had th...

Arcade memories

Hi all, we're looking to take your arcade memories and gather them up, like 2p pieces spilling from a Penny Falls machine.

Tell us anything you want, it can be about arcades in general, specific locations or even specific games. As long as it relates to coin-ops, we want to hear it!

Your favourite Playstation games

Hi all, we're looking to get a bit more Playstation coverage in the magazine, particularly as the machine is 20 years old this year. To that end, we'd like to know your five favourite Playstation games! If you could order them 1-5 with your favourite at the top, that'd be very helpful. I'll kick off...

Re: Can you name the Nintendo characters?

54, gave up with minutes to spare because I had hit my limit. Had forgotten the names of some of the Paper Mario characters, and was generally unfamiliar with the likes of Fire Emblem and the various forms of Ridley.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 125

Haven't gone the whole way through yet, but enjoyed the Translation Kings article (I'm currently working through the English patch of Valkyria Chronicles 3, over 50 hours in so far) and Atari 8-bit piece. That's actually my 800XL in the feature, I acquired it last year but haven't done a lot of expl...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Just picked up a Playstation Vita, so I'm taking a break from the Valkyria Chronicles series to indulge in Wipeout 2048 and Gravity Rush.

Real-time strategy - favourites, innovations, etc.

Hi guys, I'm writing the bluffer's guide to real-time strategy right now and would like your input. We've got contact from a number of developers and of course will be going over key titles including Herzog Zwei, Dune II, Total Annihilation, the Warcraft series and such. However, to make sure we're ...

Re: Which battle was the best?

It's the Mega Drive and SNES for me - a close battle between two fantastic machines, which inspired the bizarre letters page tradition of drawings depicting Sonic beating up Mario and vice versa.

Plus, the 8-bit micros all hit before I was born...

Re: new watermelon mega drive game beat em up screenshots le

The screens are really quite impressive, I'm hoping that the gameplay matches up. The interesting thing that stands out to me is that the developers are describing it as an RPB - "Role-Playing Beat-'em-up". What do you guys make of this idea?

Readers' vote issue 126 - Favourite Game Boy game

For issue 126, we want your favourite Game Boy games - the original monochrome slab, rather than the later models in the line.
If you can give us your top five, with choice 1 being your favourite that will be a massive help :)
