I believe Darran would have chosen Amstrad
out of Amstrad, Spectrum, and C64 I would choose the amstrad.

If I had to that is, truth is, looking back, the 8bit home computers have not aged well and are just not that fun to play on any more.

Re: If You Could Choose One System

Don't worry about it. I will still attempt to educate the world, But I long ago accepted the fact that some people like to live in ignorance and wrap it round them like a comfort blanket. far be it for me to shatter these fragile illusions. Why do you seem so angry that I agreed with someone else's...

Re: E3 2017

After all the talk at microsoft about how they are going all out for new IP this year, lets see if they do it.

Re: If You Could Choose One System

This is the correct answer. Not really comparable, but whatever helps you validate your opinions and helps you sleep at night. Sez the bloke who started all those largely non-comparable console battle threads! ...which I quite enjoyed. Keep up the good work. Glad to have you onboard. Touche, and ve...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Probs me, I do get leaped on when ever I try to take part in a debate instead of them trying to argue there points Usually by the same two people I was a bit offhand with you prin, and I apologise. But sometimes its hard to work out whether you are trying to make a serious contribution as you spend...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Debate is fine, but dont berate others for not agreeing Then spin it over into other threads Even if at times that other thread was like an endless loop of the same conversation Nothing is keeping you on this forum................. There was nothing wrong with the thread. Whats the matter Prin, you...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Have to agree. I did not see anything that was over the top or anything to worry about in either thread. Whats worse is everyone is a little clueless as to the exact parts that were offensive or breached the rules, so no clarification, and I even asked what we should be avoiding before the thread go...

Re: If You Could Choose One System

If I had to choose from one of my previous, then SNES, but given the choice of any I'd go Amiga - I saw the odd hint from SNES conversions but the originals were superior I'm told. Depends on what games you are talking about. Stuff like Lemmings, cannon fodder etc were far better on amiga. Plus of ...

Re: Favourite Handheld

Original Gamebou is up there but the GBA just beats it.

I don't actually like handhelds, but thanks to the Gamevoy advance player for the Gamecube and the reton 5 I can enjoy the amazing GBA library on a TV.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Finally had a go of the Arms Test Demo and after an hour of matches, I'm really looking forward to the full release even more. Ton of fun to play. Yeah there are some similarities to Wii Boxing, but they'd added a level of strategy this time with throws, dashing, jumping, super moves and of course,...

Re: The answer to why we like retro games.

Total myth, Its always been this way. From ataris treating programmers like they were kust generis workers, and flooding the 2600 with substandard crap to try and fleece customers. Companies jumping on fadfs and releasing clones of popular games ( Pacman and space invader clones were rampant ) Cyni...

Re: The answer to why we like retro games.

Because there used to be more idealism and enthusiasm in the creation of games and the business side of things didn't yet get out of hand. This produced more originality and also the rather big technology limitations ment that developers could still explore a lot of concepts. Nowadays gaming is lik...
