Re: Gamecube Import Titles To Get?

I forgot to mention, I've been playing "Battle Stadium D.O.N" which is a Japanese release. It's characters from Dragonball, Naruto & One Piece in a Smash Bros type game. I'm not that big on Smash Bros, but I don't mind giving this a go every now & again for something different.

Re: Seymour

I've got all of them on the Speccy. Seymour Goes To Hollywood was great, only really let down by the annoying 'maze' bit in between the studios. The weakest game of the bunch was Wild West Seymour....way too easy, and it hinted at a follow up that never came... :( Was there not a short demo version...

An excellent suggestion. I think the way it worked was PAL got "Doshin the Giant" & the US got "Cubivore"... but don't quote me on that

Anyway, it's a very interesting game, & well worth a purchase, though pricewise it tends to sit at the higher end of the spectrum.

Yeah probably a good thing about he voice not talking. Have a look here at what you're "missing"

That being said, get some AV/SCART cables anyway, regardless of the problem. You'll never look back.

Re: Overrated games!

I'm going with Donkey Kong Country. Very VERY overrated. I agree the graphics are a technical marvel for the SNES & it is a fun platformer. I just find that it feels very heavy. I played it a lot growing up & tried really hard to enjoy it as much as everyone else seemed to, but in the end it just fe...

Re: Best Sonic game

I went with Sonic 3. Sonic 3 with the Knuckles lock on was the ultimate Megadrive platformer (though it was no Super Mario World). The only problem with the S&K part of the game is that the bonus levels are just crazy hard!!

Re: Good japanese games for non-japanese speakers?

I just bought Umihara Kawase which was mentioned in an earlier Retrogamer & I have to say it's fantastic. A bit tricky, but a fun platformer.

You also can't go wrong with Super Bomberman 4 & 5. 4 being my personal favourite.

Re: Batman the movie *1989 game*

Yeah I'm going to be Mr Minority here. I played the Amstrad CPC version a LOT, but the only levels I actually liked were the 2 platform levels. After completing the first level I would use the ED209 cheat to skip right to the last level. The car bit was horrible, I could never figure out the chemica...

Re: The NGPC love thread

The other game that gets a lot of playtime on my NGPC is Rockman Battle and Fighters. Bit easy compared to the arcade releases but I really like the NES styled sprites the game used. I wish it came in a clamshell like the UK NGPC games did though as those are easily my favourite game cases ever. A ...

Re: Is Anyone else excited about Game Room?

If challenging your mates for scores floats your boat then I guess that'll be great for some people. As for me, I just see it as another way of playing old games on your new system. Been there, done that several times over already.

Re: Great Retro-gaming websites - the sticky thread!

Another "prototype" website based on Retrogaming: www.retrospekt.com.au We are basically a collection of 4 (right now) Australian retrogamers who run a community based Retro Gaming site. We're still in the process of putting up content while the main website is still under design. Still, right now i...

Re: Another low for GAME

It was the other way round EB took over Game then changed all the stores to Game as they felt it had a stronger brand. Thats when It all started to go down hill We still have both in Australia. One shopping centre near me has a Game 5 stores down from an EB. I don't know if they're going to be clos...
