For me it's Law's Run Up Drop from Tekken. It was that move in Tekken 1 back in 1994 that made me see how cool 3d fighters could be.

Yoshimitsu's sword pogo is worth an comedy mention too :)

I agree with Kaboom, best paddle game ever. Atari Circus is pretty good too.

Personally, I thought Speedball 2 was much more polished and played better than SB1.

I thought Civilisation was better than Colonization. Civ just played better and had a wider scope.

Lemmings was better than The Tribes. Tribes diluted the core gameplay accross too many skills

To truly appreciate where gaming is today, a knowledge and awareness of the history of video games is needed. The people who dismiss a game because it doesn’t have billions of polygons or the latest flavour of a shader model are the same as people who only visit cinemas to see the latest summer bl...

Monkey Island 2. Those ditties are so catchy they make you want to BE a pirate.

I thought the Wipeout music is really well suited for that game but most new games that have anything to do with EATRAX are kak.

There are few simple things that could be done to sort out crime in this country but the do-gooding namby pambys would never let them happen. 1: If you dont stay on for higher education or have a job when you leave school you go into the armed forces. No if's or buts.! 2: Everyone is sterilized at ...

Not retro but just after GTA:SA came out, the gamefaqs board was awash with rumours that a Bigfoot lurked somewhere up on the Panopticon. Loads of people claimed to have seen it, some even posted a shopped picture and an 'online hunt diary': "Day 32, My PS2 is getting pretty hot and still no sign of...

The game that was the biggest ripoff of Sonic IMO was Jazz Jackrabbit. It was actually a pretty good game, technically polished and fun to play. I'd rather play that than James Pond which was overated. It had good visuals and sound but the gameplay and level design was just average.

My favourites are Monkey Island 1 for the amazing writing and the insult sword fighting which was amazing. For playability, I love Day of the Tenticle, I really liked the 4d puzzle solving, very original and very funny.

Thats the worst form of advertising where instead of promoting your product, you berate the product of a competitor. Ironically Sega did it to Nintendo all the time during the Megadrive era. Using that type of advertising actually acknowledges your competition as a threat and that you are not confid...

Id rather just have downloads, stupid boxes just clutter the place up. Id like to see the downloads available as ISO images tho so that users can make their own backup CDs/DVDs so the game doenst have to be permantly installed.
