Dont think it was made this year but I saw it for the first time: Napoleon Dynamite. Thought it was fantastic. A kind of Waynes World of Mormons and geeks.

Just started playing Zelda: Link's Awakening on my Gameboy Color that I picked up at the car boot last week. Cant beleive its 12 years old, its fantastic. I'd rather play this than carry on with Windwaker. It's just like Link to the Past which I loved.

I remember being able to complete the Atari Decathalon 1500m on the 2600 without getting out of breath or feeling arthritic aches in my wrist. I dont know about memory, but time + fast food - exercise = distorted health.

Take one game, sit down, play game, evaluate game, remember it is 2005 and you're a grown up (or at least pretend to do during day-time), and come to a conclusion. Galaga is great. Centipede is great. Space Invaders _only_ has retro value for me. I'd "put it on the shelf" or "hang it on the wall" f...

pitfall could have done with some GRRRRRRRRRRR I managed to complete it tho  I dont know, the game only lasted 20 mins. I think saves would have shortened the life span a lot. It really needed mapping tho, the warpy tunnels were hard for an 8 year old to remember and the backgrounds are so rep...

There are good modern games, you just have to be a hell of a lot more selective. Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games I have ever played, they finally nailed an unobtrusive intuitive 3rd person control scheme and put in some amazing set pieces. I also love Viewtiful Joe, a great modern 2D platfo...
