Used to get the Mad packs and wished I kept the album they were stuck in as it was great. :(

Also got the Pac-Man ones as well and loved the scratch card game that came with it, very nicely done. 8)

That was a fantastic story The Universal, got any more? Really enjoy reading that. 8) The main thing about the period was not just the games but the atmosphere which made it so good. Reading about the latest games, hearing rumours about what was going to be released, listening to that song on the ra...

I got this at the time thuogh looking back, would it be considered cynical that on the whole this was just a way for the software house to dump a lot of mediocre titles while making themselves look good?

PC: Er, House of the Dead 3 was the last game I gave any time to. Apart from the Jamster dart game. Very simple, but very addictive.

There can only be one... THE APRICOT!!

I purchased Outrun when it first came out, and while it was an enjoyable game, this was tempered by the fact that you just spent the better part of a tenner on something that should of been better than it was. As for the free music tape, what a bloody awful job they did on it, absolutely butchered Y...

For me it has to be Line of Fire, flip know why. It's not up to much and yet very more-ish. <shows old age> Test Match on the Speccy was one of the games bundled with it when it was purchased from Rumblelows. It's in BASIC and not overly complex even for its time, but I love it and one day I WILL sc...

Turbo Esprit. Oh wait, that's already been done; it's called GTA III.

Would be interesting to see Space Invader remade in first person: see the bombs dropping directly onto you, the size of the base as the cover eventually disappears to see the invader looking down at you, etc.
