Re: Tron Legacy - Forum meetups

Saw the midnight showing in Brum and loved it! :D Liked it more than the first as the plot hangs together much better than the first which was a collection of scenes tacked together by the plot. Did have my doubts about Daft Punk doing the soundtrack since the original by Wendy Carlos is sublime but...

Re: Novelty records!

I think I mentioned before on this section of the RG forum about my personal connection to the novelty song "Star Trekkin'". Basically it was written by my old primary school headmistress's son (Rory Kehole). She even brought in the silver disc it got one week to show us. On another note, my brothe...

Re: Novelty records!

Always hated novelty records. Hated that 'star trekking' song, also the spitting image song, hated those silly stutter rap songs and other similar ones. Just stupid when Mr Blobby or Bob the builder used to get to number 1 for ages. Arrrgh ! Just bringing back bad memories ! There was going to be a...

Unsurprisingly the man behind it was Peter Waterman.

Re: So how long have Apple held the monopoly on MP3 players?

Hadn't even heard of the forum tbh, I've never had a single problem with mine apart from replacing the battery so haven't needed to ask any questions :D Aren't the hdds inside them standard laptop ide drives? Might have to look at upgrading mine, if they are. Lol fair enough! :D They are standard T...

Re: So how long have Apple held the monopoly on MP3 players?

Isn't the San Disk MP3 player any good. It is meant to be based on the iPod nano(ie uses Flash memory), and also have similar controls. I think a lot of people don't like the iTunes programme(it is resource hungry and very clunky when trying to get podcasts and also synching the iPod). The PC versi...

Re: So how long have Apple held the monopoly on MP3 players?

I used to use a Sony 8gig player which was absolutely fabby as it didn't need any special software in order to use it, just plug it into your PC, copy and you're good to go. Started looking at the 16gig models before xmas and thanks to Sony's offer couldn't find any at a reasonable price so looked a...
