Re: Games that pushed a system to the limit

Smash TV (C64) - Absolutely amazing they got the whole game into a single load and it was a cracking conversion as well. Chronos (Spectrum) - While the game itself was a decent Scramble clone, the music was brilliant - how Tim Follin manage to eke so much out of the speaker I'll never know. Wolfenst...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

This came in the morning by UPS and am really impressed by the service of GBAX.com. The controls are great to use (though the shoulder buttons are a bit too small perhaps) and the face buttons are fine. The screen is really nice to look at and the speakers are tinny but didn't plan to use the sound ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Gone through a spate of watching films and Kiki's Delivery Service and The Cat Returns are absolutely wonderful, a real pleasure to watch. Also saw Rudo y Cursi, a very good football film.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Let me know how you get on with DE, if they turn out to be a good egg I'll use them should gbax goes apex over base. I looked at GBAX, the next day delivery seems appealing. Ohhh the dilemma  Where abouts in Birmingham are you? I'm at uni up there you see.[/quote] The next day delivery is what...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Looks like you were lucky mate, his site's been suspended: http://www.dingoo.co.uk/ I'm going to order from DealExtreme tomorrow, will let you know how I get on. Blimey, you're right, dodged a bullet there! :D Now http://www.gbax.com is not responding, if I don't hear anything by Tuesday I'll have ...

Re: Firefox overtakes IE as No.1 browser in Europe

I've mentioned it many times, but I've used Opera for almost 10 years now. It's invented a lot of things that other browsers have copied (tabs, mouse gestures, speed-dial, stacked tabs, etc.), and it's one of the best bits of software I've ever used. It never crashes for me (I'd suggest a remove/re...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Update on the A320: Having heard nothing from dingoo.co.uk for a few days inquired as to what was happening only to find out it was out of stock. My money was refunded without telling me so at least I got it back though it would of been nice to have been informed. He then tells me he has received a ...

Re: MS: 2011 is all about Kinect

Oh, I dunno. I reckon most people will leave it plugged in, just so they can show off by saying 'Xbox ON!' to get things working before they pick up the normal controller and use that to do everything else instead. Lol, that's true enough, then carry on as normal as if to say apart from that ...

Re: MS: 2011 is all about Kinect

The software so far has been unimpressive and it will go the same way of the Wii (bunged into the cupboard after a month or so and brought out when friends and family come round) unless MS get their arse into gear and do something about it. What though remains to be seen as the last thing most peopl...

Re: Your favourite game music score (16bit and earlier only)

Spectrum: Chronos. Tim Follin did a FANTASTIC job in getting such a brilliant tune out of the Spectrum's speaker. Einstein: Chuckman. Love the heartfelt tune and while it's not the most upbeat in the world suits the game perfectly. Arcade: Neo-Geo Turf Masters. Always like jazz and the game gives a ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I'm ordering one next week. The Gemei GA330 I have purchased is taking a back burner until it does something useful, like WORK. :) I was very tempted to get one as well until they said that Dingux wouldn't be available for it for months to come and therefore limited to the native software. Once it ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

How much was it? I want a portable with perfect SNES Super FX and Mode 7 emu. Does this do it? I paid £71.99 inc. Special Delivery from http://www.dingoo.co.uk/ . I could of bought the A330 from BestOfferBuy for £62.90, but once you factor in postage and customs charges then it simply gets too expe...
