Re: best in game oddities cheats and easter eggs

There were lots of them in both Chronos and Agent X on the Speccy, their highscore tables were always fun and in Chronos the loading had a hidden face on it. In the arcades you could find many on Sega games such as playing as different characters on HOTD, playing as Sega on Virtua Striker 2 ver.98 a...

Re: Sensible Soccer and Speedball 2.......

The last Sensible Soccer released by Codemasters was absolute pants, just a cheap and nasty cash-in job. The Speedball update released on the PC a couple of years ago wasn't bad, just nothing special.

Re: Worst games mags

Surprised Sinclair User hasn't been mentioned yet. It used to be a decent serious mag then instantly changed it into a comic with that bear and joke reviews, a damn shame.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I think the post office have just been screwed over with mis-management over the past few years. Adam Crozier is like the grim reaper of business. ^ This. Right now in Birmingham they're doing a review of the Midlands mail centres and any that aren't preforming to their capacity will have the work ...

The show used to cheat like crazy making it infuriating to watch, but I love the theme tune, so new wave and cool!

Re: Your favorite Text based advanture puzzles

Quick tip: make sure the syntax only makes sense to you if you want to make it more authentic, ie instead of accepting 'get key', only recognise 'pick up key' etc. Include random deaths as well.

Re: First Game Ever Bought?

Phoenix on the Atari VCS which I used my Christmas money to pay for it. Don't know why I didn't choose Indiana Jones as at the time I was playing that game more on hire (at £5 a time, thanks dad!). Bought it from the independent games shop in Chelmsley Wood and played it heavily.

GameCentral is still the main one I use for reviews, very objective with some nice features.

@felgekarp: Thanks for the info, good to relieve my childhood again. Seems that the creator of this is going through a very messy custody battle.

@Katzkatz: Cheers for the tip, will do that after I finished uploading to get my ratio back on track. :)

Re: Retro TV that nobody seems to remember...

As Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom on the other and remembering that David Yip was in it, does anyone remember the old BBC series "The Chinese Detective"? It was on in the early 1980s. I only have vague memories of seeing it as I was just a kid. Does anyone also remember an ITV series called "CATS...

Re: Fav boxing and tennis games?

Final Match Tennis - TG16. Brilliant tennis game which blows everything else out of the water.

Super Punchout - Wii. Technically not a boxing game but since I don't play them this will have to do.

Re: Nintendo 3DS Discussion Thread

Between £200-250 for the handheld, up to £50 for games, region locking and a 3D effect that people will get bored of quickly, I give it a miss if it's all the same for now.

Re: Rarest dvd's ever

I've got a couple that are rare:

Jem: The Movie
Jem & The Holograms S1-2, S3 part one
Dempsey and Makepeace (Portuguese release) S1 & S2

Would have included The High Life before they re-released it as it went for anything north of £35+ back then.
