Like others, I'd have voted Outrun 2 had it been a choice. Given the choices, I guess I'll have to go with the original.

I may be wrong but I thought you could do fireballs and dragon punches, a bit difficult with those punch pads though.

Yes but none of that changes the fact SF1 was incredibly poor :) Maybe for you, me and the Pope but it had its fans and the point I was making was that to not include it properly in an SF article was a complete cop out. HKM was another game I'd like to read about actually. I dunno, maybe I just fin...

Random SF1 rant... sorry...

To be honest, not to start an argument with the staff and the writers, but the only thing I'd change about Retro Gamer would be some of the random negativity ("this game sucks!"), without actually saying why. I'm sure this wasn't present in the old Retro Gamer. The best example of this is the magazi...

Appreciate this one a lot more now for some reason. I think the idea would really work well on the new systems. Shame about the lack of superior Speccy shots :P I remember the maze character now you mention it! I believe he was the gardener or something. How that made him more powerful than your wiz...

Tomb Raider, which I figure wouldn't have been a fraction as popular as it was if it wasn't for Ms. Croft. Crummy camera angles and poor controls too. Actually put me off a lot of 3D games at the time.

This issue covers some of my favourite (and underappreciated) games ever. I rate Gradius V as highly as you guys do (I even bought the Japanese soundtrack CD!) so it's nice to see that I'm not the only person who appreciates it. Does this mean that a Salamander / Parodius feature is forthcoming?! I ...
