Well I've played that and have to say that it's spiffing. A really good example of what can be done! I also liked the simple but effective 128k surround sound fx!

Overall far better than the Speccy's version of Nemesis and co! I hope you continue with it. Now I gotta go and buy that designer myself!

I have to say, if you knocked all of that up on this program, I'm completely sold on the idea and getting myself a copy asap. You're extremely talented. Those graphics are brilliant and I could imagine that being a top notch budget game back in the late 80s (maybe even full price!). I do have some q...

Dunno why I never noticed this thread before... Dark Crystal is a fascinating piece of work. I only saw it less than ten years ago though when I was at uni and my girlfriend lent me it (we were both massive Labyrinth fans). I don't think it's a great film (I prefer Labyrinth in spades... partly due ...

The lowdown on the Great Giana Sisters! Finally!!! This is the kinda stuff I like reading about. Any chance of anybody ever finding the Spectrum version?! (That I doubt exists despite what Crash may have claimed) But yeah, more of this kinda stuff please! (Actually, more Chris Hulsbeck!) Side note -...

Mike, that looks garbage. Leatherface's body looks like a strange novelty front door key. Has anyone played Wizard's Halloween? It looks a lot like this only less green and no wheelchair. I quite like Halloween even though there isn't much to it (like a lot of 2600 games). The atmosphere is actuall...

I hate the way the DS cannot play GBC games. Saying that, I only rate Super Mario Deluxe and R-Type DX anyway so it makes little difference to me. Just annoying that I have to keep my GBA just for those two games.

Thanks for that.

Huelsbeck is the greatest homecomputer musician of all time for me! The excellent Apidya music is also written by him :D Damn right he is. This is the only game music I'd happily listen along to and take as seriously as anything else in my CD collection. The man is a genius and Turrican is nowhere ...

I thought the Amiga feature came across like it wasn't wrote by someone who had never actually owned one at the time. No Apidya, Moonstone, KO2 or Turrican?! Also, Speedball II was NOT that good. Get over it. The fact that RG have covered Turrican in the past with such little attention paid to the A...

I'm bothered by the lack of Turrican love in your Amiga article (not even a mention).

Screw the C64 versions, Turrican 2 was easily the best game on the 500 and anyone who thinks otherwise is clealrly a Nazi.

Mega Man... on the ATARI 2600!

"Several Northwest Atari 2600 enthusiasts recently put together a playable Mega Man 2600 demo that was commissioned for the I Am 8-Bit art gallery being held in Los Angeles through May 12th. The project was spearheaded by David Galloway, with contributions by Bob Montgomery, Tommy Montgommery, and F...

I was aware of the Atari computer version but I never played it. I may check that out...

That's a shame about Warner. I would have loved to have seen something from that lesser known toon.

Issue was just okay. But... The Pitfall articles remind me of the summer of 91 (I think it was 91...). Pitfall II came free with Commodore Format and I remember spending all of my six weeks holidays being completely mesmerised with this (even then) ancient platformer. Commodore Format was good at st...

I'd say that whilst Speccys, Amstrads and C64s are all worth reading about, your consoles mssrs, DC, PS1, PCE, Neo Geo, etc are all serious collectors items and far more people still play these machines than our favourite UK computers of yesteryear (and when when these old classics are enjoyed again...
