Guys, the Next is not just a Spectrum in a new case. It offers a lot more than what could be achieved on the original hardware. I think that you will be surprised once you see some software & games that have been specially written for the system.

By 1990 I think that Mattel had lost the distribution rights in the UK but I don't think it was Mattels fault really. It was just bad timing, the NES didn't get released in the UK until 87, the 16 bit home computers had just been released which were graphically more advanced, the 8 bit computers wer...

The games were too expensive, Boots the chemists sold them. It didn't really take off here until the first Turtles game was launched.
The thing is, the NES games looked dated compared to games on the Atari ST & Amiga which were big systems in the UK.
