It seriously does my head in. It's all great until I reach Marble Zone. Then the combination of that dreary music and the suddenly stunted game speed depress me terribly. Sonic 2 on the other hand rocks. Sonic was revolutionary in it's day but after the millionth play it all got tired and what we ne...

Hello, infrequent visit. I loved CF. Oddly I was given a C64 with disk drive and gubbins long after it died. By a Doctor. Who left all his data intact on his floppies. Hmm. Thankfully it was only his finances. Anyway, I fell in love with it. I was using an A1200 by then but because I'#d been stuck i...

I wish I had a recording of it, but still...

CPC loaders were nice. Ooo-weee-oo. Ooo-wee-scrrrr-screeee-screee-screee-scree - this was the sound of the loading screen being drawn a line at a time - Ooo-wee-oo. And so on.

Those sounds were a big part of the micro experience for me :D

I loved those Pac Man sweets. It was so much fun. Kids sweets shaped like mobile phones have nothing on them. It was like a little slice of Japan. I only got them when we went to the library as it was near the big grocers which always sold those kinds of more unusual sweets. You still get shops like...

It is of course a city in Egypt... And a Casino now as well methinks. Anyway. I searched on Ebay Sweden and unless there's characters I should be using on there I don't know about I couldn't find one. I even used the ABC80 bit. Nada... Puzzling. Unless Swedish Ebay isn't the hotbed of retro gubbins ...

Hi,

sorry, I only just got round to reading this article. I'd, humbly, like to point out another couple of errors.

On page 46 the games captioned as Grand Prix and Pitfall are Pole Position and Jungle Hunt respectively.

Ta,

Paul.

Fabulous. I may never stop laughing now  Along the same lines, you'll remember the Children's Film Foundation features they put on Kids TV on BBC...? Did you, like me, dread those things and yet watch them anyway because there was nothing else on and your telly didn't finish `til 5:35? At the m...

I agree - The lack of CD is extremely disappointing - I used to buy RG every month with excellent games on CD. I still have them on my shelves. I feel sorry for people who don't have internet and could not download old abandoned games. I will keep buying RG but I do hope in the future the CDs will ...

An excellent mag IMHO, also enjoyed the abridged version of the "Game Over" book that came free with one of the issues about the history of Nintendo. Still on my bookshelves... Mine too! :) Hey ho. I didn't realise the book was abridged - it was probably in big writing on the cover though - now I w...

Smiths made better everything imho... I found a packet of Ringos not so long ago and I thought they were foul... maybe they've changed again since though. To me Monster Munch are different, Square Crisps, Discos and Hula Hoops - although they were KP. Does Walker's do those now as well? They give me...
