For me Mega Drive and Tetris ones look great. Anyway the cover is not something that will make it or break it for me
I thought the Tetris one was better in retail as it had stronger borders around the bricks. The sub one got a touch bland. The Mega Drive one I approve of.

And then to show their colours, Future got me EDGE #322 today, this time using their Norwegian re-mailer. Seriously Future?

Re: What did you prefer: cassettes or 5¼" floppies?

Slightly off topic and a bit vague maybe, but how long did it take to load a 512k Amiga game off the 3 inch disks? How long is a piece of string? Yeah, it is one of those answers. Depending on the overall design (like, was it intended to start fast) it could be away in 2-3 seconds. The physical tra...

Re: Tracking lateness

And my newsagent got its copies on Thursday. Pretty ok frontpage, but this time the sub one had some real thought put into it.

Re: What did you prefer: cassettes or 5¼" floppies?

I got a 1541 and never looked back. Though I'd probably prefered a turning lock instead of a push down tab to lock down the floppy, if I had known there were other configs. In my collection I have 8", 5.25", 3.5", 3" and 1.8" (IIRC - from an Apricot I think) plus a Zip disk but no Iomega (I have the...

Am I really reading an article about architectural structures in 8-bit video games?
I kinda liked it, but I would have thought it belonging to a pre-Imagine era.

Smart wife. Pinballs are eternally sexy. Anything from early 80s onwards is tempting, but the prices are just wattafudd?

Re: From The Forum issue 183 - Tetris: Best puzzler ever?

Yeah, but no. Depends on how you view Lumines. In my opinion it is Tetris II, but they are seen as different games so I'd have to vote for Lumines in that case. Oh, and as for best Tetris version, there was an Amiga Scene version by a Norwegian (IIRC) that I thought was utterly slick. Exact names es...
