Still missing 206, and 210 has the benefit of doubt for a while.
The bad: My newsagent got #210 last week (or earlier).

The good: #206 and #210 arrived today! (And another EDGE too. 346-349)

I've not been home for 7 weeks
Took me 9 in the end.
The score is now 207+209 and three issues of EDGE.

Still missing 206, and 210 has the benefit of doubt for a while.

No sight of 206+207
I've not been home for 7 weeks, but I got a pic of all my mail today and there hasn't been anything delivered from Future during that period...

Editionally: I couldn't avoid noticing the RG web page proudly declare "RETRO GAMER 206 IS ON SALE NOW".

I missed out on this one. Let us know if it comes up for sale somewhere.

Re: Screen shots of games looked better in the old days

I don't find the "perfect" pixel representations doing games any good either. The glowing effect of a crt is usually lost too, though I have seen the odd emulator snap that has pretty passable filters for colour reproduction and (non)sharpness.

Re: What's the most iconic retro game that's actually rubbish?

Tetris must be the most overrated game of all time. Handbags at dawn! Tetris is IMO the most perfectly destilled game - it verily adheres to the old adage of take away everything you can until you can take away no more, and then stop. I think it cost me a good portion of my grades in autumn of 1989...

Re: What's the most iconic retro game that's actually rubbish?

I'm partial to say Space Invaders and Pacman. Very iconic, but still too simplistic for me. Might be a bit strong to say rubbish, but compared to their status they don't do anything for me.

RG has the _extreme_ luxury of having no 'Best before' date that just about all the other magazines have.

I just can say I would welcome the choice and certainly take the "pay more, get it quick" option. And I believe enough other subscribers well, too.

Re: Tracking lateness

#208 battled through the Corona zombie hordes and took refuge in my mailbox just now.
No sight of 206+207, and not a word about any digital editions being available.
