Re:

As Stu suggests, I think you'd have a hard time making a feature about good FMV games...but a feature on the genre would still be interesting, in a 'car crash' kinda way. The industry did go bonkers over FMV titles at one point, after all. It's worth covering videogaming's mistakes - if only to mak...

How about a feature about FMV - a sort-of 'When FMV Came Good' type thing, highlighting those rare cases where FMV actually integrated and enhanced the gameplay experience?

I know I have mentioned this before, but a Shining Force feature would be lovely. Or how about the pioneering Wing Commander series?

Great question, but I can't just pick one, so here are a few: Zelda:LttP - if only for the impact of the boy in the woods story once more; Shining Force 2 - I actually played this as my first SF title (and SRPG, come to think of it), and loved every minute. I was young, so the twists were great and ...

I always wanted a sequel to Powermonger, one that let me carry my armies onto other islands, and have the AI launch counter-attacks on islands previously won over and give me the choice to defend it personally or delegate to a general. And to tie it all together (i.e. to make it worth defending isla...

Re:

Doesn't that then encompass a typical JRPG (such as the FF series), as the battles are generally all turn-based? Nope, rpg and tbs and 2 completely seperate genres. Having played AOE DS to death, it certainly is retro in feel (plays more like civ 2 than aoe) In my opinion any TBS game should be rev...

IF YOU DONT WANT AoE REVIEW IN THE MAG........ 1 Take pair of scissors and cut offending article out. 2 Place cut out in recycle bin. 3 smile and s...

I think most of us would class the DS as a retro-gamer's machine
Ahh yes, the DS perfectly recreates all the stylus-based games we enjoyed in our youth... :P

Actually, on the basis of the titles it has had out for it, I would consider the PSP more of a retro machine than the DS.

Back to feedback on the mag, how come Age of Empires is getting a review on DS? Not sure how that is classed as a retro title, only a continuation of a franchise. Seems a little out of place to me.

How about something on Shining Force? I mentioned it a long time ago on rllmuk, and Darran said to watch this space. So I have, and still no SF-loving. Is something coming?

Re:

Yeah, but anybody could do that if they wanted to. Whether it would be as good as yours matters not - they could still do it. Um, I know all the rules of football, and I have two legs. Therefore I could play as centre forward for Chelsea this afternoon. I might not be as good as Andriy Shevchenko, ...

Re:

Um, it's exactly the point. The entire purpose of "The Definitive..." is to set the record straight. It drives me mad to see mags just parroting out the first piece of random rubbish they found on Wikipedia and screwing with history as a result. Yes, they're list pieces. They're supposed to be, bec...

Phantasy Star Online ver 2 (single player)
Shenmue
Morrowind
Killer 7
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Deus Ex - Invisible War

Thank you
Short, sweet, very old-school and loaded with extras. Sorted.
