Is 'Back to the 90s' ever going to branch out from 1990? It seems every issue I've picked up recently is always focussing on 1990 (I'm only on issue 47 atm, but I do glance through each new issue when I buy it).

Time Gate (IIRC) by Quicksilver.

Sure, it wasn't an actual Star Wars game, but the picture on the box had the Millenium Falcon on it, and you shot at what appeared to be Tie Fighters. It was great back in the day, when I was just a young boy...

Recycled RG content in other mags

Just seen that the 'History of GTA' feature has been recycled and used in a give-away book for Play magazine. Is this a tactic to try and garner new readers, or do other mags in the IP stable lack content and need some padding?

I don't consider the Playstation to be retro, but I don't mind a few articles every so often. I find it a bit sad that there isn't much Amiga coverage, when that is much more retro than the PS. Exactly! :D I've been subscribing for 6 months now and am still awaiting some juicy Amige coverage. Maybe...

I can't remember what year it was, and it was a present I bought myself, but on Christmas Eve some years back (late 80's/early 90's?) I went out and bought a compilation for my Amiga (I recall it had Dynamite Dux and possibly Crackdown on it). So what makes it memorable? It snowed that day as I was ...

They aren't particularly special, they just know their market, and that market loves them - as clearly shown in this thread.

And in repsonse to Timppa - unique characters only appear in Nintendo games? Oh dear.

And that I guess is the other main point - they have the most rabid fanboys.

Re:

You see you have now quoted somebody elses post to justify the problem you had with me  I haven't called you anything. I have merely pointed out that you have rushed in without understanding the thread and made an unfounded accusation towards me. I have a reputation for sarcasm to uphold, not...

Re:

The point was made to dr_bob, Stelaking thought I was having a go at him, so I clarified. I am really unsure of what your issue is. This however is a really useful commnt to make... Good to see that everybody is keeping this forum up to the standards of its Live heyday. Probably about as useful as ...

Re:

And SirClive's " Would have done the same for you without trying to make a quick buck. " seems irrelevant to the discussion if, as is stated in his next post, he wasn't accusing Stella of doing it for that reason. So why even type it? I deem that a snide comment. Deem what you like mate. If you thi...

Re:

Subscribers get them about a week early, it's in the shops this thursday. Which is my point, I should just ebay em to the people who think spending £10 on ebay is better than either a) waiting a week or b) subscribing for £2.50. So what would you class making the same basic point twice in success...

Re:

To be fair, if people are stupid enough to bid for them, then where is the problem? Plus it seems all issues have been listed cheaper than when new anyway, so again, if a bidding war raises the price why should that concern anybody who isn't bidding? This forum is very strange sometimes. A lot of t...
