Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

Been playing a lot of MK8 recently and had never tried the online mode, impressed as hell at home smooth it runs online, even with spilt screen running.

Re: Fallout 4

Loving this, it was actually our special focus on episode 5 of our podcast. Everyone I speak to about this has done totally different things to me too. What Level have people made it to and what are the best weapons people have found?

Re: [Kickstarter]Tiny Arcade

Yeah just too small. I say the custom's arcade guy (paul's custom cabs or something like that?) and they looked very good but a tad too expensive for me to get one. Hopefully the market will keep growing though so the prices keep falling.

Re: top 3 ds games

I try not to be too shameless with promoting this (hopefully) however me and my mate did our top 3 the other day on our podcast! Invert Y gaming https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/invert-y-gaming-podcast/id1023498906?mt=2 https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/invertypodcast hopefully you understand th...

Re: Best "Kart" racer?

I put 'other' because you left off the best kart racer ever Mario Kart DS! Shame the 3DS version was a slow piece of turd! Not played much of the 3ds one, although agree with you on Mario Kart DS. Myself and my buddy on our admittedly tiny podcast were actually talking about it at the weekend as we...

Re: Buying a console just for one game

I got an Amiga CD32 purely for Alien Breed Tower assault. A friend in the street of ours had a brother nearly twice our age that lived on the other side of the estate. During the summer hols he used to lend us all sorts of what to a 12-15 year olds were amazing censored and one summer he lent his Am...

Re: Games you own that have jumped in value. Tempted to sell

I bought my mates snes off her in about 2004/05 for £20 with Super Star wars, Mario Kart, Castlevania and Zombies ate my Neighbours or whatever the pal game was called. Wouldn't say it have gone up in value as much as neither of us could imagine that the prices would go up. She was actually going to...

Re: Best "Kart" racer?

There is actually 2 very decentish Dreamcast ones as there is the looney tunes space race and the whacky racers one. Street Racer too also decent although been a while since I played that. Mario Kart 8 for me though. Did love Diddy Kong back in the day and Banjo & Kazioo Nuts and Bolts is an under r...

Re: Parents loft find

Been there, found loads of stuff when my folks divorced the other year, the feeling you had is also probably similar to when I first went Retro Revivial, hadn't seen an Amstrad since about 93 and seeing loads of stuff from your childhood was a tad overwhelming for me.

Re: Good arcade locations

Would love to get to the Arcade club. Loved seeing all the machines lined up at Retro Revival and Play Manchester, was a tad overwhelming emotionally if I am honest.

Mario 64 is chalk full of instructions, as it's more complex than the others it brought in that need.

Not off the top of my head, but the MK2 isn't as desirable as the MK1, all the MK2 I owned died.

Re: Build your own Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo replays

I would much prefer a Data east, Taito, Sega, or Konami one TBH. ones that can stretch over a large period of gaming. See now you are talking. You can add Capcom, Atari (a proper one - not just 2600 or arcade games) and Activision to that list too among others. We had a similar discussion elsewhere...

Re: Are modern games making us lazy?

I thought of this thread when this happened to me today, playing Dino Crisis on the DC, barely remember any of it from when I briefly played it on what I imagine was the ps1, however the notes dotted about don't save to anywhere like you would now expect, so it have been notifying me of door codes a...

Re: Sega Saturn

My favourite machine this, depends what sort of games you like, but for me Burning Rangers is a good game although pricey, never been released or matched by any other game if you ask me. Panzer Dragoon II would be worth a try, as a new owner it might be worth you trying to pick up some of the Sega F...
