Re: Are there double standards on this forum

I remember Clarance and Greyfox got threatened with bans for mentioning 'Steve Davis snooker' and I'm sure Koops got a week ban (or warned with a ban)for mentioning Steve Davis in another thread.. A good friend of mine was also threatened with a ban for correcting a couple of articles in Retro Game...

Re: Is there bullying/steamrolling on this forum?

I Of course you could argue that koops has created this thread as nothing more than a way to have a dig at whoever got him banned, but I don't really care. I'm sorry you feel that way but that fact is that had I wanted to have a dig? I would have posted in my usual 'colourful' style and taken anoth...

Re: Is there bullying/steamrolling on this forum?

It's a fine line Rod LOL and exactly the sort of thing I wanted people thinking about. Personally? I've tried to limit any outright naming in my posts in case there are eyes lurking waiting to pounce and get the thread closed. I'd suggest post as you always would because it will show how these threa...

And betting scams. No sex attack claims though, that would be inappropriate.

Re: Are there double standards on this forum

I admit that many of my self exiles have been because of attitudes on the forum in general. After a certain member was banned? I nearly went on another exile but thought I'd see what others thought about these issues instead.

Re: Is there bullying/steamrolling on this forum?

Surely a steamroller is more than a fancy toy.Its a proper bit of machinery. Here's another prime example. The wink? The 'joke'? Is it helping? Does it matter if someone laughs or more importantly does it affect the thread in a positive or negative way? I could have just ignored it but then ...

Re: Snooker/pool games

Do we think the players have any input to the games? I played 2 of the modern games on the 360 and if the players had any input? it would have been 'yeah, make me awesome and never play safe' seeing as even tactical players just played mega attacking every shot.

Re: Is there bullying/steamrolling on this forum?

I haven't commented on here in a long time. One reason because I was busy working for an anti bullying charity. The idea that bullying builds character is awful, no it doesn't research has been proven that the effects of bullying can effect someone's mental health for countless years. A statement I...

Re: Snooker/pool games

After a quick google? It looks as if neither Ronnie OR Hendry ever put their name to a game? Steve Davis has and the search throws up a CPC screeny!

Re: Snooker/pool games

Jimmy Whites on the DC was meant to be ace but I never got on with the controls ..... mainly because I was used to 1 button 8 way games, I should probably revisit it. Steve Davis games? Ronnie O'Sullivan Games? I can't say I remember a Hendry game (odd as that would be) I might have to have a google...

Re: Are there double standards on this forum

If it's any consolation, Darran tried to ban me once over a picture of Steve Davis (I was being a snidey snide :) ) but the forum wouldn't let him, and by the time I had profusely apologised he took pity on me and let me go with a telling off. But yeah, slightly strange how things go. That's strang...
