Re: The Missing Retro Gamer features

A regular feature on classic games magazines - one could be picked every month . YES PLEASE! Less Making of's ... Often about games I've never played/heard of . NO WAY! I love reading about games I've never played. Features about classics like Planescape: Torment and System Shock are great.

Things I'd like to see

I have no doubt you have already covered some of these anyway, and I've just missed them: Greatest retro joysticks/ controllers Best retro superhero games (ie Batman) A feature on Delta 4 and Fergus McNeil (The Boggit etc) The making of Commando History of the PCW shows of the 80s/90s, Golden Joysti...

Re: From The Forum issue 112 Mega Drive

Golden Axe. The first game I ever played on my imported Megadrive, and at that point I immediately knew that arcades were dead. What was the point when you could play games like this in your own home?

Oh, and it was also responsible for me completely f*cking up my A-levels.

Re: The Games Machine

TBH the magazine was quite old-fashioned even then and couldn't compete with the emerging full colour games orientated magazines which were emerging at the same time Really? What mags were these? I recall Rignall going to C&VG/ Mean Machines, but it's odd that I found their cartoony visuals and pla...

Re: The Games Machine

I had a few issues of it back in the day and thought it was an excellent mag but it just seemed to die a quick death. I can remember reading the fabled article on Ultimate/Rare and finding out they were releasing new games on NES and getting green with envy as I was still running Spectrum and C.64 ...

The Games Machine

I was always a bit puzzled that this magazine wasn't the success that Newsfield's Crash and Zzap! were. Given the likes of Rignall left to play on consoles for EMAP, it feels like a missed opportunity that the old "Newsfield magic" didn't get the chance to shine properly across a whole new generatio...

It feels like its ment to be nerd humour not written by nerds, watched a few episodes and the canned laughter became annoying.
One guy says some thing nerdy "Laughter"
It Crowd did the nerd thing better.

Now to leave the thread
It's not canned laughter

Obssessed with "The Big Bang Theory"

I don't usually watch that much TV series; they seems to require a large dedication of time and effort, with often little reward (Dear "Lost": fck off), so the onIy series I have made any effort to watch recently have been the amazing Game of Thrones and The Walkng Dead (and Man v Food, but that's e...

Re: Which games do you want to be remade?

Remade? Hmmm, thanks to RetroGamer over the years, the list is immense and there is a very, very rich seam of classic games that are deserving of a new audience and HD sheen. The vast majority of which I have never played. Of course some deserve to stay preserved in the aspic of retro gaming history...

Re: Game you looking forward to most in 2013

I won't even pretend that I know all the games coming out that I'll want, but certainly BioShock Infinite, Diablo3 if it gets a 360 release, the new IP from Bungie maybe, er.....anything Fallout-related from Bethesda. That's about it. Can't see too much of interest, especially considering it's very ...

Re: "THAT" bit

Lovely thread! Let's see: - Every Spectrum game ever. Don't think I finished one. - "The Library" and "Truth & Reconciliation" on Legendary in Halo. Seriously, just fck off. - The stupid dreamy/ drug sections in Max Payne. In fact every single game that has a pointless, lengthy, slow-moving dream se...
