Re: What other forums do you post at?

Not really anymore, years ago it used to be Stereo2Go, Civic5, CivicLife and Gary's diecast forum but the Civic's long dead, I dont have time to restore boomboxes anymore and 2 members stole from me on the diecast forum so it tainted it too much for me to enjoy anymore. With FB groups these days for...

Re: Your Recent 'Other' Purchases

A massive pile of MCM stuff, most on the forum may not know them but its a pair of hilarious Aussies who modify cars and sometimes even teach workshop stuff.

I also got the parts to hopefully get my cars TV nav working and if I can mod the unit myself then I can play games on my Lunch break.

Re: do you buy dvds

Considering streaming is only as good as your internet connection I still regularly buy physical stuff.

Re: Books vs ebooks

Physical books for me, I have a short attention span and with an eBook my mind wanders too easily, I've got copies of stuff from as far back as the 40's and more modern stuff.

Re: do you ever go to the cinema?

I don't go as often as I like so I tend to make an outing of it when I do, I've been to a couple of special ones including GoG 1 on a special preview before the rest of the UK saw it (they littrally wanted to see your phone and it was missing the end credit scene as wasnt fully put together). These ...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I paid £1500 for a 1.4 Civic 5 Door, 90BHP so wasn't a bad first car and lasted me years, it had a slightly higher group due to them being popular for being raced, Humber was a little more quoted on a classic Policy but never had it on the road. Fast forward to now, 26, 7 years NCB and 0 points but ...

Re: Today

Today I finally sorted my tax out and shocked the HMRC anaylst as it turned out a large over payment (wont go into it fully but it was not me who did the paperwork), apprently it will appear next payday in my account so whatever it is will go on paying off my loan and doing repairs on the M just inc...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Automated voice reconition systems on IVR's with no skip function.

Its annoying enough talking to a machine but when you are near mute with screwed throat muscles its tourture and when you get to the poor sod who answers the phone it sounds like you are someting out of a horror movie.

Re: nokia 3310 - remade

I don't like it, it looks like a kids toy and barely resembles the phone its a 'homage' to, if it had more the body style of the orginal I might be a bit warmer to it.

Re: Threats from sellers/buyers on ebay?

I had one not long ago, sold a camera body and then sent a snooty message realising it was a body only and refusing to buy, I stated calmly and clearly the AUP and what was stated clearly in the description, they sent one back whinging about the postage, stated again this was clearly displayed and t...

Racing wheels

I've been looking at these for a while, umming and arring over the high price and what I want from it and after looking at them I've found a problem. To quote Harry and the Hendersons, My feets too big, to be in a natural position my foot will physically catch the other pedal, this has been a proble...
