Re: What grinds your gears ?

Bought used car 2 months ago (really happy with it). Come home from 3 weeks Christmas holidays to find it sitting dead in the garage. (Probably flat battery, but can I expect this to happen again if I fix that?) What car? I might be able to identify possible causes. Today, reacting to things that a...

What works with an Amazon stick

It's been a long time since I was around last as I was working multiple jobs at once but back in October I busted my back and then started to lose use of my right leg so I've been house bound a lot which is driving me stir crazy. My Main consoles I can't get to at the moment but I picked up a fire s...

Re: KFC

KFC gives me a gut rot so didn't affect me but did find it funny, McDonalds and BK naturally took the mick which makes me wish we still had Wendys here given the wise cracks the social media team are known to come out with.

Re: Today

So many old names and faces have been and gone over the years which makes me feel old :( Today I've been given the night off which is handy as I'm in ebay mode, made myself a nice Chicken and Kimchi ramen to help me press on as started one of my 3 day sinus headaches and the pills make me a bit slee...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I watched Sons of Anarchy in its entirety, and that Finale on the last season silenced me

Been trying Narcos but have been finding it difficult with the Puppy running about as my spanish is too rusty not to watch the subtitles.

Re: Using a MD PSU on a Famicom

Solved it myself, all MD mk1's have the same output on their PSU which matches the Famicom, 10V DC with the centre pin as Negative, MK2's weirdly have the centre as positive.

Now to find an RF as all of mine appear to have disappeared off the planet.

Re: the Hi-Fi thread

I have heard Higher end stuff will working on vintage gear, while I can tell analouge from digital I just don't notice the wire thing, its the same with Car audio, I've not noticed difference between full rewires and regular upgraded drivers and tweeters.

Re: Games genres that you just don't like

I could never get on with Text adventures or RPG's that are too text heavy, RTS's can grate on me in some cases too. Tennis, Football etc, they can all quite frankly go the way of the Oodlum Bird, its essentially the same muck every release and ends up Bargin bin fodder or the 'free game' when you b...

Using a MD PSU on a Famicom

Has anyone every done this and if so has there been any long term issues? I know the NES ones no good and will kill it but I've been told and have been reading on other Forums a MD1 PSU has been used without a step down (UK voltage is 230v, Japan sits around 100-110) and just wanted to be 100% befor...

Re: the Hi-Fi thread

I've got a Franken-stack but its been dismantled a while, set myself a rule of no more than £20 per item and tbh its well, I can't remember the exact models but favourites are the 1984 Aiwa Amp and the JVC six changer, leads wise I just use basic stuff as its only really sheilding that makes the dif...

Re: Today

Found out my 40yr old brother died on Friday unexpectedly. After my nan and then my dad this is part of my life that can just sod off. Went up on the weekend to see my mum and sister who are literally the only close family I have left. I'm sorry for your loss, hope you're alright as you've always b...
