Re: Future acquire Imagine

Okay, fair enough. I guess they won't screw me completely over at least. I'd like to add that I am really enjoying the mag on the ipad btw. Five years and almost all backissues....it's been a blast. And very cheap compared to import the paper edition, I might add. Reading through load 40-somet...

Re: Future acquire Imagine

Darran/whoever in the know: I've been a subscriber to the digital ipad version for five years. Will it be affected? I have almost all Retro Gamer mags bought or subbed there, and I just got my sub for six months renewed.

Mmmm, gold, classy.

I guess this is the last issue with the IP logo on the cover...
What? IP is selling the mag? Can't find anything on the forums or wikipedia.

Re: From The Forum issue 156 - Game Boy Advance

Got mine when my family was on our first vacation to Gran Canaria, back in 2001. Still has it, still works, and is part of my little Nintendo handheld collection.:) First game I had on it was the GBA version of Super Mario World IIRC.

Re: From the forum issue 154 - Quake

Shooters have never been my thing. Only shooter I've ever enjoyed is Wolfenstein 3D and DOOM, as they were amazing and fresh at the time, and hooked even me with the amazing technology.

Re: In The Chair - Ed Fries

Do you think the recent rumored plans by Microsoft and Sony to release updates to their consoles mid cycle will fare better than Sega's illfated attempts? Why?

Re: Reader feedback wanted

I am possibly in a minority here, but I find myself skipping the homebrew pages. If something catches my eye I would read it, but I don't really take the time to look over every game as it really doesn't interest me that much. I really like the inclusion of Conversion Capers on game features. Gener...

Re: Retro Gamer 150 - Your Greatest Games Ever!

A nice issue.:) I missed the regular articles, but it's only natural they had to go with such a massive celebratory feature, and it was a blast to read.:)

Re: Reader feedback wanted

My favourite articles has always been developer articles, both interviews with devs and the features on the companies. So please, more of that. I also have a soft spot for the back to XXs articles, and I think it's time to start on the 00s. On that note, I love the small boxins in those articles abo...

Hi guys,
I'm planning to buy the movie for my birthday. Question is, regular download or special download? Price difference is 20 pound. Is it worth it?

Re: Discuss Time! Issue 141 Your first gaming purchase

First game I bought for my own money and was not gifted or loaned, was World Cup '94 for the PC my dad bought used from his work. A horrible machine, ancient even then. I don't give jack about sports, but I played this game a lot and had loads of fun with it. I was really, really hungry for gaming, ...
