Re: The king is dead, long live the king...

After about 5 years of being the member with the highest post count, Antiriad has now surpassed me and reached the whopping figure of twenty thousand posts! It is pretty amazing that a large number of us have stayed with this forum. Many have taken some time out (myself included), but we almost all...

Re: Being unemployed going Orwelian!

I was signed on for about 18 months 3 years back and in fairness, most of the staff at the Tamworth branch were alright. There was definitely the sense that they agreed the mandatory courses were utter bilge but couldn't actually say so. The worst part was easily the other 'customers' such as the i...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

woke up somewhat early this mo, and while looking for The Wright Stuff and avoiding Jeremy Vile, I stumbled across the New Thundercats anime.

Gotta say - it's way cool. Anyone else seen it?

Re: Being unemployed going Orwelian!

Yeah, thanks for that, much appreciated. The Dispatches 'report' was horribly skewed. Yes, mistakes were made, yes, there's too much red tape on occasion, but I really don't appreciate the assumption that everyone who works there is a git or that there's some sort of vendetta against the customers....

Re: Being unemployed going Orwelian!

Did anyone see the rather scathing report about JobCentre+ on Channel 4s Dispatches programme a few months ago?? When I went to sign, I was told I should be using the jobpoints to look for work - I then told them about said above TV report, to which I was told - "That was just a load of rubbish, all...

Re: Am I mental?

I just can't help lusting after stuff I don't need. I've got my eye on another TV when my current Sony is only 18 months old, and its great! I want another iPod touch because, er, I don't know. I really want to upgrade my surround sound system to a Bose one. I really want to get a Samsung tablet so...

Re: Which 3 Fighting Game Characters for Your Perfect Team?

If I forever wanted to be UNDEFEATABLE then it would probably be these three : Petshop from Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure Hilde from Soul Calibur 2 Jin from Tekken 4 It would be fun just watching people react to almost guaranteed losses - everytime as they are all broken and banned from official game to...

Re: Doom 3: BFG Edition...anybody getting it?

As it happens, I have just been plaing Doom II for the last few weeks - it is on Coinops3 on my modded Xbox. I have wanted to play Doom + Doom II for such an incedibly long time, and I am glad I have finally managed to get into it. I LOVE this game - although I much prefer Duke Nukem 3D - to bad thi...
