...come on Magnetic Fields we want a port of Gizmondo Trailblazer with bonus original game (yes the new version is very good!) and Super Cars 1/2, Lotus Trilogy! I'd like to see them converted too - there are so many games which could get a new lease of life on iPhone / iPod Touch ... I'm sure I've...

:D Glad you liked it ... and were impressed enough to buy an iPhone too! Pole Position remix is a good game to play too, with a lot of unlockable cars and stuff. I was one of the lucky ones to get Tris (a free Tetris clone) before Apple pulled it from the store too. My iPhone gets more gaming time t...

Well I for one am looking forward to it. I've bought a number of iPhone retro / retro-style games (Pac-Man, Pole Position Remix, Cube Runner, Pinball Dreams, BClassic etc) and it will be interesting to see what Darran & co think of the machine as a gaming device.

I bought it last night; it's just like a mini version of the Amiga classic; with slightly different graphics (there's an option for 'enhanced' graphics or strictly Amiga screens). I did notice a little lag, but that only happened when I'd been using my iPhone a lot, using different apps etc. Once I'...

I've got my Speccy and my CD32 hooked up to a 32" LCD. My Amiga has it's own 15" monitor.

My Wii is attached to a 46" plasma, on the EDTV setting and whilst obviously not HD quality, it looks great.

The Settlers- great real-time resource management game
Genetic Species - superb FPS game
Final Odyssey - excellent arcade adventure.

The latter two were both released by Vulcan software fairly late on in the Amiga's life but still well worth sourcing.

my oldest mag is issue 1 of ACE, September '87 iirc. ACE was great up until around issue 18/19 (whichever had the populous cover on). Son after the mag got sold to EMAP and it went downhill from then on :-( Got a large amiga collection: almost all amiga formats (from about issue 33 on, Inc all cover...

I'm another that's been subbing since the Live days and got 2 (poss 3) free issues when Imagine took over. I've not had a letter either, but then again the post around here is rubbish ... Either way, I'm happy to continue subbing to the mag as having it drop thru the letterbox each month is worth it...

I would have to say that the A1200+hard disk+Expansion card ('030 minimum+extra RAM)+WHDLoad is the best way to go. My A1200 is in a Power Computing Tower, souped up with an '040, RAM and I registered WHDLoad - one of the best shareware fees I ever paid. I've got games going back to 1986 working fin...

how bizarre is that ...? That said, I've just received the handheld megadrive that was reviewed in this months' retrogamer. I'd seen it on one of these threads and hinted enough as a birthday gift. It's around the size of a gameboy micro and is light as anything. My thoughts mirror that of the revie...

similar things to what people have already written ... Liked : getting to meet people from the forums, selling a number of copies of the Speccy Bible, chatting to Simon Goodwin & Darran, listening to Ste Pickford, playing on machines I've never seen in "real life", ie the Vectrex, PC Engine (cheers ...

I wanted Claire to win - was quite surprised that Lee won.

I used to work with Helene. I was surprised she performed as bad as she did during the whole series. I wouldn't have wanted her to win as she didn't do anything outstanding in any of the episodes.

I know there is a new Star Trek game that recently got released on the Wii, but I can't remember what it is called and whether it is any good or not. The graphics look pretty good though. It's called Star Trek: Conquest. It's set in TNG times, and it's a little Risk-esque / Civilisation stylee, as ...

Lego Star Wars (the complete set) - I don't think I've laughed so much playing a game ever. From the cut scenes to venting by continually killing Jar Jar Binks - it's worth every penny.

I also like Star Wars Bounty Hunter. One of the few GC games I still play on my Wii.
