Re: The Microsoft Must Die discussion thread.

There's been a bit of griping about the mandatory Kinect, but I think it's a good idea to ensure that devs can rely on everyone having it and therefore can freely support it. People go on about Kinect being a gimmick and there being no good games for it, but surely its potential on the 360 was alway...

Re: Questions about upgrading a PC

Killbot, my google-fu tells me that the Phenom 1.8 ghz quad core in the Aspire M3201 is a Phenom X4 9150e. You should be able to confirm this by checking the system info in windows. As you rightly suspected, however, it's the integrated HD3200 gpu that's going to be your current bottleneck on any ha...

I'd love to play this on my ipad, but I'd have to cull half of my games just to fit it on.

Maybe later. Right now I'm too spoilt for choice.

Re: Favourite Light gun games...

Faves: Virtua Cop 1 + 2 House of the Dead 1 + 2 Confidential Mission Space Gun (maybe not actually a light gun?) Steel Gunner 2 (ditto?) Honorable mentions: HotD 3 Time Crisis 1 + 2 (only ones I've played, iirc) Ghost Squad Vampire Night I think there was a Jurassic Park based bumpy-seat arcade shoo...

Re: Oh how times have changed...

Any time someone gives me a cheque, I feel as though they've given me the money they owe me plus a little chore.

I'd prefer just the money.

Re: Strengths and Weaknesses

I've got a habit of losing it and telling people what I really think of them in a rather aggressive and foul mouthed manner, which isn't a good thing really.... I'm always punctual though... So you deliver scathing dressing downs in a timely fashion? Have you considered a career as a drill sergeant?

Hmm... this thread is making me want to dig out my unplayed xbox copy.

I do enjoy a good pants-wetting.

Put me down as being interested... eager even... but also cautious.

Not a big fan of open worlds generally. If I was any good at making my own fun in an open world, I'd go outside.

But still, I'm curious to see what they come up with.

Re: GRID 2

Drifting. Why the feck does every fecking racing game have to go on about drifting? I hate drifting. I'm inclined to agree. I like it in arcadey racers, like Outrun 2, and I love gravel grinding slides in rally games, but it's not something I want to see dominating tarmac racers in general. As far ...

Re: iPad help?

Pretty odd. You could try selling it on ebay with a full description of the fault. Some people seem bizarrely optimistic when bidding on faulty gear... like they think just need to switch it off and on a few times and it will be right as rain.

What I want to know is how on earth we ever managed to get by without cash-machines? The only way to get cash was to go to the bank - which was only open 930-330 Mon-Fri, so if you were working you were stuffed! I remember watching my mum doing all her banking with the teller, filling out little sl...
