Re: 30 Years! Atari ST from Evesham Micros.

My first ST was a new one, it came with a huge game bundle of about 20-30 games (think it was called the 'Power Pack') which comprised mainly of 8 bit games which had been updated to 16bit. Was a great machine, and I loved it until I saw that some of the newer games (particularyly from the likes of...

I also thoroughly recommend the two books from Microzeit - Breakin' The Borders and Beyond the Borders, I have reviewed both on You Tube if you want a closer, just click the text links.
Thanks, will take a look.

30 Years! Atari ST from Evesham Micros.

I have just realised it was 30 years ago this month that I got my Atari ST. Blimey! After pestering my dad into submission – convincing him that I HAD to upgrade from my Spectrum 128 to the amazingly good value Atari ST “Summer Pack”, he drove the 15 year old me to Evesham Micros, somewhere on Persh...

Re: From the forum: 185

Playing on an actual upright arcade machine, in the family room of a pub, somewhere near Llansteffan, whilst on holiday in 1980, aged seven. This was also the first arcade machine I ever played on.

Gauntlet 4. It's just like classic Gauntlet, but with quests, and proper big dragons.

Re: Revival 19-20 may walsall football club.

I'll be going on the Saturday. Hope it's not quite as busy as last year's. Got a bit too crowded on the Saturday afternoon. Always good though.

Re: If not the "Big 3" 8-bits then who?

At the time, it would probably been a VIC20 or an Electron, but in retrospect I went for the Atari 8bits.

Built in joystick ports on the Spectrum, Spectrum Plus and Spectrum 128. But only if they still got to be called "Kempston".

Re: From THe Forum 178: Share your Pac-Man anecdotes with us

Pac Man stickers and cards from the early 80s! (Some of the cards were scratch-card mazes). I used to have the Pac and ghost stickers stuck on my clipboard which I used on school trips. Nice! I also still have a copy of the Pac Man board game in my garage. End of anecdote.

Re: Retro Gamer issue 177

I wish I'd known about the four-or-so places to vote. Then I would have voted four-or-so times. Just like a number of other people probably did... Was there a tussle going on between the SNES and Megadrive communities? Seems a little suspicious that those two particular rivals should end up first an...
