Re: Plug and play for 30 years old joystick!
Would something like that work well with a Gravis Gamepad? If they did, I'd probably end up getting one of them with this for Christmas. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e6/Gravis_pc_gamepad.jpg/250px-Gravis_pc_gamepad.jpg Seriously, get one of these, get it going with DOSBox......

Re: Educational Maths Game
Oh, man, I actually remember playing this game back on the Macs in school. I think I played a few other Super Solvers games, too. They were... fairly decent, for edutainment games, as I recall, but looking back, I liked Word Munchers better. Oh, and Oregon Trail. Everybody loves Oregon Trail.

Re: MegaMan on ios
Oh, here's the best part of all. So, three guys got together, and in less than 24 hours, they managed to replicate the game completely. If you play this, you'll pretty much have played all of Xover. God, Capcom, if you went bankrupt tommorow, would there be anybody left who would care? As for my opi...

Re: Why don't we talk more about Retro games?
I agree with the above Perhaps the forum could be split into areas instead of really only 1 forum for ALL games, new and old. Afterall isnt that what its all about? some good threads do get lost in the melee They split off modern games once before, the usual people moaned so it went back to the way...

Cool retro videos and the people who make them
So, anybody here have any videos of retro reviews, playthroughs, retrospectives and such? And dfo you happen to have any Youtube (or any other video service) channels that are good for that sort of thing? Post 'em here! Ashens : Sure, we may all probably know who he is, but not everybody might have ...

Re: What are you currently playing?
I've played a very special game last night. Well, special to nobody to me, really, but it's... honestly, the game I'd say really got me into modern gaming at the age of five or six. It, as honestly terrible as it was, was the game that introduced me to 3D graphics, so I guess it kind of did have an ...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread
Hope you all don't mind me mentioning this again, but a beta for Playstation All-Stars is out now on Vita for people with PSN+, and it opens up for everybody else starting tommorow. There's a cross-play feature where people on the PS3 can play with people on the Vita, which is nice. ...I'm wondering...

Apparently the Japanese version is somehow a lot better on the Saturn. Don't ask me how that works.Toops wrote:Doom on Saturn was a diabolical Rage Software effort

Re: Emulating the Jaguar
If there's anything that's a pain, it's emulating the Nintendo 64. I mean, Project64 does all right, I guess, but you have to deal with plugins for every single game, a lot of them will have issues no matter what. That, and there's the controller to deal with, although that's hardly the emulator's f...

Sega's Model 2 Collection
So, apparently, Sega's making a collection of all their Model 2 games that'll be released for PSN and XBLA. They all come with online play, too, which is nice. Right now, this hasn't been announced outside of Japan, although I'm sure we'll be getting some kind of release for it sooner or later. Not ...

Re: What are you currently playing?
Playing the new Worms game that just released, Worms Revolution. After years of watching Team 17 pump out mostly lazy and sometimes outright broken/unbalanced games in the series (the 3D ones. The only weapon you ever need is the bat), Revolution shows up, and it's the first one that I can honestly...

Re: What are you currently playing?
Hows the netcode for the game so far? I'll be grabbing the beta tonight and am looking forward to giving it a go (my PSN is Gouki16). I'm also looking forward to giving the Beta a try on my Vita as it seems like the kind of game I'd enjoy on a handheld (and the Vita version is free if you get the P...

Disturbing moments in happy games
MIGHT BE A SPOILER OR TWO IN THIS THING! Just sayin'. So, there's probably been a lot of times when we've played a game that seems like there's no way it could offend anybody, because it's just so darn bright and cheerful. And then a moment happens that leaves you flabbergasted, confused, and just ...

Yeah, funny thing about that. I mean, sure, it wasn't until a year or so ago, but we do have one now. Which is nice, because this game is great.Negative Creep wrote:The Simpsons Arcade game

Re: Fantastic arcade games - no home version?
The Outfoxies , a game that not only got a home release, but I'm also pretty never sure it got a US release. It's basically Smash Brothers five years before it was even a twinkle in Nintendo's eye, crossed with a little bit of Rolling Thunder. You run around a huge arena, grab weapons, and attempt ...
