Says a lot about this forum that this thread gets this many posts and Wasteland 2 doesn't. I'm just saying, guys.
...On topic, I hope that Fallout 4 takes place somewhere out of the US. Like, what happened to Britain? There'd be four more games worth of content right there!

Re: DOS / MS-DOS Screenshot Challenge
45 out of 50, on my end. The only ones I couldn't really be sure on were the flight simulators, honestly. Never played many of them, never was good at them. Let this be known that when I say that I love DOS, I censored mean it.

Re: Jones in the Fast Lane
Oh, god, this game. THIS game. This game is bullshit, plain and simple. This is like the worst of Sierra's adventure games applied to real life. There's just so much random chance involved in this game that there's pretty much no way to win unless the game is gracious enough to actually allow it. Go...

Mind if I ask why you feel that way? Just wondering, really. Honestly, I feel like MK did everything right that SF4 got wrong, but that's just me.felgekarp wrote:I fear I may have to buy it just for it being a DC game, despite thinking that the Mortal Kombat one was quite poor.

I'd be all over doing something like that, if nobody else is.

Re: Injustice: Gods Among Us - DC universe fighting game
Oh, man, you don't know how long I've wanted this game. I honestly loved the new Mortal Kombat that came out a couple of years ago, and I honestly still think it was a much better game than Street Fighter 4. Considering how much Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League I've watched over the ye...

Re: Terrible games buys you completely regret.
Rocky & Bullwinke for the Game Boy. A game so bad, that about five minutes I put it into the Game Boy I brought with me, I asked my mom to turn around and let me trade it in for something better. I ended up getting Tiny Toons: Bab's Big Break again, and I think I made the right choice. ...This was a...

Re: darkstalkers
After Street Fighter 4, I don't think I'd trust Capcom at all with making another Darkstalkers game. They'd probably outsource it to some no-name outfit like Dimps, make it play at half the speed, throw in a bunch of mechanics nobody likes for the 'casuals', and take out Talbain just to spite us. I'...

Re: Superfrog HD arriving this year
I'll be curious to see whether this is a remake or a straight graphical upgrade, honestly. Speaking as somebody who never owned the original game, it didn't seem that great. Here's the thing. So, it's trying to be Sonic, right? Nothing wrong with that, Sonic is a good game. Thing is, Sonic isn't abo...

Wasteland 2
So, yeah, Wasteland. It was a thing, and some of you might have played it. Probably on the C64, but it had PC and Apple II versions, as well. It was a rather unique RPG for its time, with a post-apocalyptic setting and a lot of freedom for the time. Locked door in your way? Does your lockpick skill ...

I've made a purchase too  Installing right now... Great stuff! Best kart racer ever? SEGA does what Nintendon't. Oh god, nowhere near it!! This game was one of the most infuriatingly cheap things I've played in recent memory. Broken characters, awkward controls & some truly awful...

Re: The Castlevania series.
You know what game really doesn't get enough love? Bloodlines/The Next Generation. Probably some of the best music in the series, two characters with their own unique playstyles, and some really good use of the hardware. Sadly, it seems to get mostly ignored compared to CV4. 4 isn't bad or anything,...

Re: From the Forum issue 113 Amiga
Ruff N' Tumble, for me. Fantastic graphics and sound, with such great use of color. For me, it's probably one of the games on the Amiga that got the closest to being a console-style game, and I'm honestly surprised it never got a port to the SNES or Genesis like The Chaos Engine did.

Re: Defining PC Games
I'm pretty sure I could think of about 20 good PC exclusives that aren't anywhere close to being FPSes. From before Wolfenstein 3D? Do tell. Do not be surprised if we do not agree on "good" though :-) From before Wolf 3D? That would take a while longer. My point is, anyway, that FPSes are hardly th...
