Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I agree with James. The best people could hope for is a digital re-release of the Gamecube Waverace with HD and possibly online. It's just not worth anymore investment than that. What else can they do with games like that and 1080 etc? And how well would they do in a market dominated by 'mature' ac...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Nintendo are in a difficult position in that many of their most ardent supporters are asking for games based on a sense of nostalgia. Nintendo have to continue to innovate if they're to continue to have a future as a developer. Many of their IPs just don't have the legs to compete in the current ma...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Diddy Kong Racing 2 The problem with wishes like this is, most bigger games companies prefer to focus on their main franchises these days, packing them with as much as possible instead of making sequels to less popular, older franchises or new IPs that could compete with their own titles. This is a...

Re: Could Nintendo learn from MS for wrapping retro content?

Why would they put every Mario game (over 60 games) on a chip when they can charge £50 for an All-Stars sized game of around 5 titles for the same price like they did on the Wii? Sadly, Nintendo aren't so generous and to them the likes of Mario and Zelda are worth a hell of a lot more compared to t...

Could Nintendo learn from MS for wrapping retro content?

Was lying in bed the other night dreaming of gaming ideas and i was thinking MS had done such a great job with Rare Replay that I wondered if Nintendo could do a similar thing? Here's my pitch to Nintendo: A series of retro game collections themed exclusively around the various Nintendo owned IP's. ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Was thinking yesterday what would make me buy a Switch as someone who felt they got burnt by the WiiU (paid top whack for it and I'm now using it to play last gen Wii games). It came down to games for me. I don't care about anything else. Get a 2nd switch exclusive Zelda game ala Majoras mask on the...

Re: Rally De Africa + Rally De Europe on playstation 1

You guys might like a racer I worked on many years ago... https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFtbrhgc_11fED1nLQqbjYgySqQA-C-I6 I've got 'Ford Off Road Racing' for the PS2 and Wii - it's quite fun a short time, but the motion controls on the Wii version feel broken. Nice to hear from programmers...

Re: Rally De Africa + Rally De Europe on playstation 1

You guys might like a racer I worked on many years ago. Quite similar in nature to Rally De Africa but a little more fantastical. Wasn't a AAA game so is a bit rough around the edges (crash physics weren't great) but is a pretty decent mid priced PS2 arcade racer I think. https://www.youtube.com/pla...

Re: Yooka-Laylee [Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor]

As a KS backer not happy that the game has been all over the net for days now because the 'press' got there hands on it first. Yet the people that made it happen are still waiting to play it They just handed codes out to backers today. As for the toy box, haven't checked but I'm on PS4 Wait how are...

Re: Yooka-Laylee [Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor]

Started playing it yesterday and i am liking what i see so far. It's certainly a 'Warts and all' affair and has the same trappings with camera's and what have you. I do not get the 'lack of content' argument right now, but i haven't seen enough. From what i understand, there are less levels in the ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee [Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor]

I just wonder if this is an expectation issue more than anything else? The toybox was pretty much everything I expected from the game (bar the odd thing). The one thing that's concerning me a bit is that they seem to have bulked it up with some grind so as to make the play time longer - something th...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I will forever feel burned by the WiiU. Paid top dollar for it very early doors and it's been the most disappointingly underused console in the last 20 years. They can kiss my arse before I pay those stupid prices for the switch. When I can buy one for under £200, I'll consider it. On a side note, I...

Can't find a topic on this using a quick search but I can't believe there isn't one? There is an old thread on this... You started it yourself in June  http://retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=53576 Lol!! What a censored I am. That's so funny. I totally forgot but when I searched couldn...
