Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I just bought Super Mario 64 for about £4.50 on WiiU at the weekend. Still one of the greatest games ever. :)

Switch Switchy. Still too pricey for me. Holding out for a pre-Christmas price drop, or at least a decent bundle.
Yeh I'm the same. Too premium for cheapskates like me. :)

Re: James Bond Games

Sly Spy Secret agent was a Bond game in all but name: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TgqlXFls5Y Someone mentioned Operation Stealth by Delphine - that was a Bond game in America if memory serves, wheras in Europe, we didn't have the licene attached. Licence to Kill on Amiga had a very steep diffic...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Having a really good FIFA on the Switch will only raise my desire to buy one. Having a really good PES on the Switch would raise that even further! I really hope Nintendo can keep these types of announcements coming. The console and the games are still too premium for my liking (I'm not going to pay...

Re: Is Megadrive Shadow Dancer the best Shinobi game

I'm assuming you mean this one right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAJs-D8hjKA Was just such a sublime game. Once you 'got it' you just felt very at one with the controller. Revenge was a great game too though. I think it depends on whether you prefer a more arcadey game you're more likely to go ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

The super premium price of the Switch, its accessories and the games on it are really putting me off buying one.... Then I saw the Monster Hunter announcement trailer.... I hate Nintendo....

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Wii Sports Boxing is what springs to mind for me, one of the weakest of the Wii Sports titles with very limited appeal and little replay value. Fun for five minutes but not something you'd shell out a significant amount for on its own. I say this as a Punch Out fan too. I've nothing against boxing ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

On the Arms front - it's funny how Nintendo are trying to take violent games and then Nintendofying/Disneyfying them so that they are acceptable for children and mass market play. Splatoon was just a 3rd person shooter with guns replaced by paint. Now Arms is a violent fighting game Disney'd down to...

Re: So, tell me about the original Nintendo Wii......

First of all, try and get a wii plus controller if you can as they're a little more sensitive than the standard ones. Second, make sure you setup your wii space correctly. The sensor bar central to where you sit and give yourself plenty of swing room - the more the better IMO. Thirdly, games. First ...

Re: Darksiders 3 announced

I just can't get my head around why you would create such as great character (War) and then throw him away for sequel games?? Because there are "four horsemen of the apocalypse" as playlable characters in this franchise - War (first game), Death (sequel), Fury (replaced Pestilence, upcomming third ...

Re: Darksiders 3 announced

Loved Darksiders 1. War was such a great character and I used to love just walking around the landscape with his awesome skulking walk animation! DS2 was ok, but not as good I felt. This doesn't look that great so far if I'm honest. I just can't get my head around why you would create such as great ...

Re: Yooka-Laylee [Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor]

For anyone interested. I also put this on the offical YL forums. Ok, so I’m about 3 to 4 hours in. I’ve opened up the first level (Tribal) and have made a start on level 2 (Ice). I’m enjoying it, so that’s good. It’s definitely a game that gives you what it states on the tin. And I think that might ...

Hate turns to love for LoZ: Skyward Sword

So, I played this game originally on the Wii. I didn’t like it. The Wiimotes were never really sensitive enough IMO to play games that required some form of precise control and SS suffered badly as a result. It also didn’t help that, at the time, the Wii was getting a lot of hate from mid and hard c...
