Re: Thank you so much for your great magazine!...

Yeah, hope that the RG team know how much the mag means to a lot of us. To people like myself, who grew up with the 80s/90s mag culture, it is so awesome to have something like RG keeping that flame burning. Gaming just isn't the same without it. With the 200th issue coming up this year maybe it sho...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 190

I won't buy the magazine again. I've been getting my 7 and 9 year old into retro gaming and I first bought Retro Gamer at their request. I haven't read every article but what I have read has been a safe read. Then my daughter asks why an article "has so many bad words?" There are THREE f-bombs in a...

Re: cost and lack of freebies for existing Subscribers

For me the reward is getting a fantastic mag each month that contains content not available anywhere else. I don't care about getting a free third party controller, thats insignificant compared to getting a mag that is the last of its kind. Whenever you re-subscribe you can take advantage of discoun...

Re: Tracking lateness

I never received issues 187, 188, or 189. I've been a subscriber, based in upstate NY, for nearly 10 years now. I haven't had a problem like this before. Maybe a few late issues, and a missing issue a few years ago, but this worries me! Since I probably won't be receiving the Subscriber editions ca...

Re: Did I miss the Winter isssue or...?

Winter issue! Don’t say that... it’ll be like ‘Christmas issue’ and won’t sell because subscribers in foreign lands don’t get their subs for 4 months and winter will be spring, this will then put people off reading it. 😄 I realise your jesting, but all they said was the Xmas themed issues sold incr...

Re: From the forum: 191

Chaos Engine - was great on the PC and was a hard and relatively long game to get through.

Re: Magazine needs an article on the PC

I'd love to see more early PC content as well - a lot of the PC related stuff in the mag is mid-late 90s, and there is masses of untouched games and developers from before then, particularly from the US, that would be great to read about.

Re: Why do you hate your readers?

Well, where I'm up to issues wise (up to issue 148 currently), that is not in the mag. So if it's in now then awesome. That said, the 80s-90s will forever be the golden age of gaming for me, as you had the best of both worlds across all systems, as there was a clear games difference between every c...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 187

Finally got the re-send of this issue - somehow got lost when I renewed my subscription, and have to say this is a cracking issue - the SNK articles are top notch, well done team.

Subs Department Epic Failure

So I just got an email from subscriptions@mail.myfavouritemagazines.co.uk, asking why I have left the magazine and asking for feedback on what they could do better. The funny thing is (and worrying), I renewed my subscription two months ago and haven't left the magazine. So now I'm worried that my s...

Re: EDGE

For the second time in as many months, issue 327 has not been delivered, with an 'in the shops' date of 6/12/18 I am beginning to accept that it may not come now as I type this and indeed, I have purchased from WH Smiths. Darran and the RG team, again I apologise to you for using your forum to vent...

Re: Tracking lateness

Having resubscribed a couple of times and also undergone an address change, I'm pretty confident that Future don't ship out all their subscriptions at the same time - it also seems that whenever you do something like re-subscribe or change your address, your account gets pushed right to the back of ...

Re: gamesTM and GamesMaster to end

I concur, I tried so hard to like The Edge, and they did a couple of Retro themed mags that were brilliant. However, the normal issues have become almost a parody of a gaming mag for me - they are more interested in their own views, language and theories than the underlying stories behind games anym...
