Golden Axe is one of those games that just isn't as much fun to play today as when it came out. I still enjoy it every now and then for a bit of nostalgia, but really it's a little too basic and repetetive for me to get stuck into it these days. Golden Axe the Duel is a surprisingly decent 1 on 1 fi...

Speaking of Capcom and video game art, I got this a couple of weeks ago: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/spikester75/Picture.jpg 224 pages of Capcom artwork, covering everything from Black Tiger, Forgotten Worlds and Strider, right up to Street Fighter 3, Capcom Vs SNK 2 and Power Stone. Abso...

That may have been fine for shitty, budget, cassette games in the 80's, but by the time companies were charging £40, £50, £60 for console games I expect a bit more time to go into the package as whole than hideous crap like this: http://www.virtuaconsole.com/images/stories/jreviews/39_streetfight...

I have bought some games in my time where the cover art has been highly misleading i.e. what you see on the front cover does not always represent on what the game actually is. So yes, I think Cover Art is highly important. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/files/605411-phalanx-kemco-1992_760.jpg...

Game art is very important. It's a shame Western companies don't take note of this fact.

Haha!

I disagree though, these are two games that will truly benefit in the gameplay department from updated graphics.

Great news about Burning Rangers, thanks Mike!

Is nothing sacred, Sega?  I dunno Rossi, as great a games as Saturn NiGHTS is, the graphics are a hinderence. If this update has a much further draw distance than the original as well as improved graphics then it's gonna be an essential purchase as far as I'm concerned. I'm thinking Lim...

NiGHTS into Dreams on PS2

No thread for this yet? Sega are releasing a port of the Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams for PS2. It will apparently feature updated graphics, a new widescreen 16:9 mode and some bonus features (Gallery options etc.). Two versions will be available, normal package for 3990JPY and a limited edition...

Japanese Dreamcast step down converter help needed!

I need to pick up a step down converter for my Japanese Dreamcast. I'm pretty sure this will do the job, but I just wanted to make sure.

Anyone have any other recommendations?

Cheers

I watched a guy in Tokyo playing Tetris exactly like that for about 5-10 minutes. No-one else seemed to be amazed by it though. :?
