Re: 2017: What games are you looking forward to?

Really excited to finally get Elite Dangerous on the PS4 (couldn't bear it on Xbox One due to my dislike for the console) so this will be a good one. Other games I'm really excited for are: Nioh - Loved the demo as I'm a sucker both for Samurai games and hardcore Dark Souls style gameplay. Looks swe...

Re: The Annual Christmas Film Thread!

My wife and I love doing a Die Hard trilogy night (trilogy only as everything after 1-3 was dire) :) My daughter as recently discovered The Santa Clause trilogy and we've seen each of them twice already this week so I feel this might be a regular one now  Personally, I always watch Ghostbusters...

Re: Batman games

:D Great thread! Loved Batman:Caped Crusader (ocean) on C64-Really captured the comic book feel with the graphical style (comic windows) and mix of fistycuffs and detective work Totally this. Never beat it but it was a wonderful looking game with a great puzzle solving style a lot like we saw later...

Re: Ghost in the shell film trailer

Wont be as cool as the Anime but (contrary to how many people seem to act) wont destroy my memories of the original and hell, could be a fun standalone film :)

Re: Which book(s) are you currently reading?

Finished Cthulhu Armageddon on Monday and pretty much enjoyed it start to finish which is unusual for a Mythos book as most fizzle in the latter half. Since have read book 1 of Black Magic Outlaw (Deadman) by Domino Finn and onto Book 2 now. It's got a definite Dresden feel to it but more grounded i...

They're speaking ? I was distracted by the intense cinematography Parasyte is good fun, quite enjoying it http://ptanime.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Keijo-gif-4.gif BUTT CANNON!! It really needed a Northan dub "ARSE CANNON!!" That looks Fab and the synopsis on Animelist sounds good. Think ...

I'm by no means an astronomer but I do love how even now we are finding new things but it does disappoint me how little mainstream coverage they get.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Yesterday I watched Keanu Reeves directorial debut of Man of Tai Chi and found it pretty good. A nice classic martial arts film with Keanu playing the bad guy (who wouldn't if they were directing?) and it was all rather good with some excellent fights. We also watched Fear Inc what wasn't half as cl...

Re: Which book(s) are you currently reading?

I recently finished my first ever David Gemmell books with the Druss books and was impressed. They're well written with likeable characters but they are definitely showing their age now. I then tried Beneath by Jeremy Robinson (of the pretty impressive Kaiju books fame) and gave up 75% of the way th...
